The gurdwara is named after the bungalow, which was known as “Bangla Sahib”. The gurdwara is a two-story building with a white marble facade.

New Delhi:Tuesday, during a meeting with his Australian counterpart Penny Wong, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar discussed India’s fraught relationship with Canada. As part of the India-Australia Foreign Ministers’ Framework Dialogue, the two also deliberated on the Quad alliance alongside the Australian foreign minister.

In replying to a question regarding Canada subsequent to their meeting in the nation’s capital, he stated that they deliberated on the diplomatic dispute. He stated that he conveyed India’s perspective regarding the tolerance of radicalism and extremism in Canada.

“From our point of view, the key issue is really the space which is being given to extremism and radicalism in Canada,” according to him.

Given Australia’s amicable relations with both India and China, he stated that “Australia must understand our position on the matter.”

Additionally, the regional partnership Quad, which Japan, India, the United States, and Australia formed to counter China’s increasing assertiveness in the Indo-Pacific, was discussed by the two leaders.

“During our discussion today, Quad was at length discussed…We are engaged in the resolution of a wide array of concerns,” he explained.

In addition to commerce and investments, the meeting encompasses discussions on intelligence sharing pertaining to military and shipping operations.

Bloomberg reports that India and Australia have reached a mutual agreement to map the sea floor of the Indian Ocean, a region vital for submarine operations, and to establish formal protocols for air-to-air refueling.

Since September, when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of complicity in the assassination of Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, relations between India and Canada have been tense.

New Delhi, in its denial of the “baseless” allegation, has requested Canada to provide evidence.

Australia and India supported a two-state resolution to the Israel-Palestine dispute.

In the interim, S. Jaishankar stated at a virtual meeting of BRICS leaders that the Palestinians’ concerns must be taken seriously.

“In Gaza, the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas is a source of immense human suffering.” Humanitarian assistance is currently required to reach the population of Gaza immediately. Additionally, it is critical that every single captive be liberated. PM Modi has engaged in discussions with numerous leaders both regionally and globally regarding this matter. He has emphasized the necessity of resuming authentic and direct peace negotiations and establishing the conditions for peace. We hold the view that giving due consideration to the concerns of Palestinians is essential. “This is only possible through a two-state solution,” he continued.

The air quality index (AQI) in the nation’s capital reached 454 on Sunday, prompting the federal authorities to take any and all steps that are at their disposal in order to prevent the degree of air pollution from reaching any previously unreachable heights.

The average AQI was reported at 470 this morning, which is approximately 20 times higher than the level that is advised by the World Health Organization (WHO). The data that was collected in real time indicates that this was the case. According to data provided by aqi.in, the current air quality index has reached the 480-point threshold.

In the months leading up to the rabi crop season in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, there was an increase in the amount of paddy straw that was burned, which is said to be one of the causes of the terrible air quality in Delhi. On the other hand, according to the environment minister in Delhi, Gopal Rai, the burning of stubble is only a problem in the neighbouring states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and not in the state of Punjab at all.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast no rainfall in the city, which could improve the AQI by forcing down air pollutants.

A high-level meeting has been called today by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to take stock of the deteriorating AQI and the implementation of stage 4 under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).

The New Delhi-based Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) said a total of 4,160 farm fires have been recorded till Sunday, which is the highest so far for this season. Punjab alone has reported 3,230 incidents of stubble burning, which is the state’s highest in a day for this season.

Rai contended that Punjab, an AAP-ruled state, has recorded less stubble burning if compared with last year. He said the farm fires in the state do not have as much impact on the AQI as smoke from Haryana and UP does.

The India Meteorological Department and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology have predicted that unfavorable meteorological and climatic conditions will cause Delhi’s air quality to deteriorate and enter the “very poor” category on October 23 and 24. As a result, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has activated Stage 2 of the Graded Response Action Plan. The entire National Capital Region will be equipped with these anti-pollution measures. In accordance with this, the air quality commission has requested that the NCR region’s authorities raise parking fees in an effort to deter private transportation and improve the service quality of CNG or electric buses and metro trains.

The steps for Stage 1 have already been put into place. Because of this, any private construction work or demolition projects that are larger than 500 square meters will need to be put on hold.

“All actions as envisaged under Stage-II be implemented in right earnest by all the agencies concerned in NCR with immediate effect, in addition to all Stage-I actions of GRAP already in force,” according to the order issued by the panel.

The GRAP classifies acts into the following four stages: Stage I – ‘Poor’ (AQI 201-300); Stage II – ‘Very Poor’ (AQI 301-400); Stage III – ‘Severe’ (AQI 401-450); and Stage IV – ‘Severe Plus’ (AQI >450).

As part of Stage 1, it is requested that authorities implement a prohibition on the use of coal and firewood in ‘tandoors’ found in hotels, restaurants, and other types of eating establishments. With the exception of critical government initiatives, construction and demolition activities are entirely halted during this phase. With the exception of essential services, light commercial vehicles registered outside of Delhi, trucks, and medium-to-heavy cargo vehicles are prohibited.

Red flags, or the things to look out for in a relationship, are often discussed. But what qualities matter most in long-term partnerships? In this piece, we’ll talk about the signs that your relationship is healthy and safe, sometimes known as “green flags.”

What Are Green Flags?

It’s crucial to keep an eye out for red flags in a partner, such as ghosting, gaslighting, or love bombing, but it’s equally vital to focus on the positive sides of your relationship.

Your partner may be showing signs of maturity and dedication to the relationship through their actions. These go-ahead indicators suggest that this union has the potential to be (or develop into) one that lasts for the long haul.

You Trust Each Other

Mutual trust is one of the hallmarks of a strong partnership. Your accomplice must answer to you. If they say they will pick you up, they always keep their word and arrive promptly. One of the most important “go” signals is trust in one another. A partnership built on trust can last a lifetime.

Your trust in this individual extends beyond disclosing mundane details of your life to revealing your deepest, darkest secrets and deepest, darkest ambitions. Intimacy, honesty, and mutual care flourish when there is a solid foundation of trust.

You Maintain Boundaries

You respect one another so much that you can enjoy each other’s company without feeling envious. You can get some space without worrying about upsetting your lover.

Ivy Kwong, LMFT, a psychotherapist and life coach, stressed the need of setting, communicating, and sticking to healthy limits.

You Communicate Well Together

If your significant other frequently checks their phone or social media while you’re talking, they’re not really listening to you. When you tell your spouse about your day, it shows interest and respect if they look at you and listen attentively.

ALSO READ: Luxurious Escapes: 5-Star Hotels in Manali for an Opulent Getaway

When someone is empathic and shows they understand how you feel during a conversation, they are also providing you with emotional validation. That’s a further encouraging sign. Both partners need to feel safe enough to express their innermost ideas and emotions openly in order for the relationship to thrive.

You Like Spending Time With Each Other

According to research published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, closeness and sexual activity strengthen one another. Sexual intimacy strengthens the bonds between partners. More sexual desire was linked to higher levels of intimacy, and this trend was seen in both sexes

Your Partner Is Grateful for You

When one partner in a relationship values another, the couple grows closer. This is clearly another positive sign.

Participants in a scientific study who thought their partners respected them were more invested in meeting their partners’ needs, more appreciative of their partners, and more committed to the relationship in the long run.

Affection and other forms of closeness can help people feel closer. If a couple has all five of these signs, they are more likely to be in a happy, long-lasting relationship.

The top government official in Delhi who was charged with raping the daughter of a friend who had died has been taken into custody by the Delhi Police. His wife has also been arrested because she gave an underage girl abortion pills as a cover-up.

The official was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and detained a few hours after Delhi’s chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, told him to be fired.

“The assistant director who is being accused and his wife are being questioned. The investigation will include any other witnesses or suspects,” DCP North District Sagar Singh Kalsi told the news agency ANI.

Earlier in the day, the official, who was a deputy director in the department for women and children, had a FIR filed against her. Investigators found that the young girls lived with their parents in an area in north Delhi. Her father was a top government figure in Delhi. He died in the year 2020.

The mother of the girl also works for the government of Delhi. The accused and the victim met at a holy place in Burari that they and their families went to often.

Police officials say that when the girl’s father died in 2020, the accused official offered to take her to his home to help her deal with the loss and heal.

Between October 2020 and February 2021, he is said to have raped the girl several times at his home. The girl found out she was pregnant in 2021. She told the official’s wife, who told her not to tell anyone about the abuse. She even gave the girl pills to have an abortion.

After a while, the girl’s mother went to the home of the official who was being charged to meet her daughter. The daughter asked to go home because she was sick. Police say that the girl met the suspect official at the holy place where she was abused.

The girl had an anxiety attack earlier this month and was taken to the hospital. After going to therapy, she told the counsellor about the sexual abuse and the abortion.

New Delhi According to persons with knowledge of the situation, a team of Border Security Force (BSF) personnel will likely be stationed near the village of Thawai Kuki, where three village guards, all members of the tribal Kuki community, were killed by armed miscreants on Friday morning.

Security personnel are searching the jungles of the nearby hills, where the armed criminals are allegedly hiding out, but the assailants are still at large, according to the locals.

The violence on Friday was the first time anyone had been killed in the state in 13 days. This broke the fragile peace that had been created in a state where clashes between the dominant Meitei community and the tribal Kuki community have killed at least 155 people and forced another 50,000 to leave their homes.

The likely use of the BSF comes on the same day that Manipur’s chief minister, N Biren Singh, asked the Churachandpur deputy commissioner to explain why weapons were shown at an Independence Day parade in the hill district. This adds to the tension in the state, which has been troubled by ethnic violence.

Photos and videos of the event depicted parade participants wearing combat fatigues and carrying what appear to be sophisticated weapons.

“The Prime Minister has requested a report on the public possession and display of firearms. This was not the district administration’s official parade on August 15, but rather one organised by the Zomi Council Steering Committee on the Churachandpur ground, according to a state government official with knowledge of the situation.

However, the Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum (ITLF), a powerful coalition of tribal organisations, denied the allegations. Ginza Vualzong, the ITLF’s spokesperson, stated that the parade participants were village volunteers. “The guns carried by village volunteers are toy or wooden guns,” said Vualzong.

ALSO READ :At least 21 civilians were killed in an attack in central Mali.

The majority of Churachandpur’s inhabitants are Kukis. Kukis reside in the hill districts, whereas Meiteis inhabit the plains and valleys, such as Imphal. The Meitei chief minister, N Biren Singh, has been accused of prejudice by Kuki groups. The tribal groups accused Singh’s primarily Meitei police force of prejudice and attacking Kukis.

Ten Kuki-Zo-Hmar tribal MLAs of Manipur submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week, requesting that separate posts for chief secretary and director general of police be created for Kuki and other tribal communities in the five hill districts.

On Saturday, security forces continued their search for the armed criminals who murdered Thangkhokai Haokip(35), Jamkhogin Haokip(26), and Hollenson Baithe(24) in Ukhrul’s Thuwai Kuki village at approximately 4.30 a.m.

“The search operation continued until late Friday night. Today, it was resumed again. According to intelligence reports, the Assam Rifles are also searching in other locations for the criminals.

Friday night, according to Gigin, the local Ukhrul president of the Kuki Students Organisation (KSO), a meeting was conducted with the villagers, KSO employees, and police.

“The district superintendent, who attended the funeral on Friday evening, has assured us that a BSF squad will be stationed in the vicinity of the village. All these months, the village of Thuwai Kuki was never attacked, so everyone presumed that it would not be targeted. Things have since shifted, however. Even the armed extremists who murdered the three villagers must be hidden in the jungle, said Gigin.

In the village, about 50 houses are utilised by Kuki families.

SP, (Ukhrul) Nigshem Vashum affirmed that the police have requested that a BSF company be stationed in the village as well as neighbouring areas.

The attackers fired upon the three village defenders as they approached the village from the eastern hills. Before departing the scene, the assailants mutilated the bodies. The bunker where the corpses were discovered, according to the police, is roughly 1 km from the village. They added that no credible witnesses to the incident exist.

The violence in Manipur, which has been ongoing since May 3, sparked a nationwide outcry last month after a 30-second video clip showed a brutal May 4 sexual assault in which a group of men – later identified as Meiteis in a first information report (FIR) – were seen cheering and applauding while stripping two Kuki women and forcing them to parade naked. The horrifying clip prompted the Supreme Court to assume jurisdiction over the case and declare that it will monitor every case of violence against women during the ethnic conflicts. The supreme court also ordered the formation of a high-powered committee comprised of three retired women high court justices who will visit the conflict-ridden state and report on the effectiveness of rescue, relief, and rehabilitation measures.

The Delhi government on Friday doubled fines for mosquito breeding – 1000 for families and 5000 for commercial facilities, according to Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj – as dengue spreads as flood waters recede.

The choice was made following a review meeting with Bhardwaj, health officials, and the mayor to discuss strategies to stop the spread of dengue and other vector-borne diseases in the city, which was presided over by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

According to the minister’s directives, the health department has been told to set aside beds for dengue patients and make sure that hospitals and clinics have enough medication.

The genome sequencing of 20 dengue samples, according to Saurabh Bharadwaj, showed that 19 of them were from a severe strain

“Floods in Delhi may raise the number of dengue cases”

Prior to now, Mayor Shelly Oberoi issued a warning about possible rises in dengue and malaria infections as a result of floods in some places. The silt and sludge left behind by the flood, she said, have been cleared, and departments have been ordered to control mosquito breeding.

Cases of malaria and dengue in Delhi

Delhi has so far registered 187 dengue infections and 61 malaria cases this year through July 22. These numbers are the highest since 2018.

According to a civic authority data made public on Monday, there have been 187 dengue cases reported in the national capital this year as of July 22. This is the highest number for the same time period since 2018.

61 cases of malaria have also been reported over that time, it added.

159 dengue cases were reported in Delhi in 2022 between January 1 and July 22. The same period in 2021 had 47 dengue cases reported.

The city saw 49, 34, and 28 cases in 2018, 2019, and 2020, respectively.

What signs and symptoms manifest in dengue?

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), dengue symptoms might include high fever (104°F), severe headache, muscle and joint pains, vomiting, and rash and often manifest 4–10 days after infection.

According to the WHO, severe dengue symptoms might include pale complexion, abdominal pain, prolonged vomiting, bleeding gums or nose, and exhaustion after the fever has subsided.

measures to prevent dengue

According to the WHO, it’s crucial to protect yourself from mosquito bites to prevent dengue. This includes wearing protective clothes, sleeping under mosquito nets during the day, and applying insect repellents that contain DEET, picaridin, or IR3535.

WHO advises rest, fluids, and the use of paracetamol (paracetamol) for pain management if you have dengue. Ibuprofen and aspirin should not be taken, advises the UN’s main public health organisation.

Immediately seek medical care if you have any serious symptoms.

The discussions are expected to start on July 25. Each group will be composed of 35 to 40 MPs, each with a focus on a certain region.

With the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 as their backdrop, these gatherings take on significance.

Regional groups of MPs were formed, and each group consists of representatives from two regions. PM Modi will meet with officials from Uttar Pradesh and the northeast on the first day, July 25.

The first meeting will start at 6:30 pm, followed by the second at 7:30 pm.

Every meeting will feature Prime Minister Modi, senior BJP leader JP Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, underscoring the significance of the discussions. Sanjeev Balyan and Ajay Bhatt, two party officials and union ministers, are in charge of organising the gatherings.

The Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) National Secretary Rituraj Sinha and General Secretary Tarun Chugh will collaborate. MPs are being urged to produce reports on their work in the interim.

These gatherings occur when NDA marks its 25th anniversary. On July 18, 39 parties who were a part of the alliance met at the Ashoka Hotel in Delhi earlier that day.

The coalition declared that it will run in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections under PM Modi’s direction and that he will win a “huge majority” and serve a third consecutive term as prime minister.

The central government was made aware of the situation when heavy rains in Delhi inundated the Pragati Maidan tunnel and caused water to back up around the convention centre, where the G20 summit is scheduled to take place in September.

The national capital is preparing to host a group of 20 countries despite the fact that it typically rains until the end of September. The government has been attempting to fix the gaps that can result in waterlogging near the convention centre.

The administration is making sure that after significant rainstorms, the roads leading to the convention centre don’t flood. Since seepage is likely to cause water to end up in the delegate seating area, efforts are also being made to stop it from happening.

The government is also taking steps to ensure proper drainage along the highways, seal up neighbouring areas to prevent leaks, and conduct a mock drill to test seepages.

While issues have been noted, efforts are being made to finish everything by the deadline. Work on the centre is currently progressing at a breakneck pace in order to finish it on schedule. Daily progress updates are transmitted to the G20 Secretariat, according to insiders within the organisation, India Today reported.

The drainage problems in the Pragati Maidan region are being handled by the New Delhi Municipal Committee (NDMC) and the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).

PK Mishra, the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the head of the G20 Presidency’s Coordination Committee, has been evaluating the location and planning for the next summit and other meetings.

The committee is looking into every area of protocol, security, airport coordination, media coverage, infrastructural improvements, and arrangements in Delhi and the surrounding states.

All organisations are now being urged to collaborate with a global perspective by PK Mishra. At the present, everything from the venue’s façade to the amenities like parking, accessibility, and technology are being considered.

Preparations have been in full swing ever since India took over the G20 Presidency from Indonesia in December 2022. One Earth, One Family, One Future was the G20 Presidency theme announced by the Prime Minister.

The subject is based on the long-held conviction in India that “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” or “The World Is One Family,” applies to all people.
