If you go to the BSE or NSE’s Notices website, you will see a list of companies that have been transferred to the Trade-to-Trade Segment. This is also known as the T2T segment, and the decision to transfer shares to the T2T sector is often made by exchanges in cooperation with SEBI. The normal rationale for switching to T2T is to reduce unwarranted speculation in the stock. SEBI is usually leery of volatile stocks since retail investors are often caught up in irregular price movements. So, what exactly is a stock trade? Trade to trade stocks (T2T) is a market segment in which each purchase or sell must result in mandatory delivery. This means that intraday squaring of holdings on T2T stocks is not authorized because it could promote speculation in these stocks.

What are the criteria for transferring shares to T2T segment?

Without becoming too technical, here are some of the critical factors for transferring shares into the T2T segment:

Only equities that are not available for trading in the F&O segment are considered for transfer T2T. That is, equities that are available for F&O trading will not be transferred to the T2T section.

Shifting shares to the T2T segment is generally done on a fortnightly basis, whereas the exchange determines to shift to and from the T2T sector on a quarterly basis. This decision is made by the exchanges in collaboration with SEBI.

The decision to transfer a stock to the T2T sector will be made based on a combination of three different criteria, with each of these criteria being utilized conditionally.

The first criterion for moving to the T2T sector is P/E overvaluation. In the case of the BSE, if the Sensex P/E is in the 15-20 range and the stock has a P/E of more than 30, the stock will be evaluated for T2T. The EPS used to calculate the P/E will be the trailing EPS from the previous four quarters.

The price variation criterion is the second. If the price variance of the stock is roughly 25% more than the Sensex or the particular sectoral index to which it is benchmarked, the stock will be evaluated for T2T. The movement must be in the same direction as the Sensex.

The stock market capitalization is the third requirement. If the market cap falls below Rs.500 crore, the company would be assessed for a move to the T2T category. The goal here is to limit speculation in equities that may be prone to price manipulation due to their tiny size. IPOs are typically excluded from the T2T criteria.

Remember, just as companies can be switched to the T2T segment, they can also be shifted back to the conventional market. This is part of the quarterly assessment review conducted by the exchange and the regulator.

What happens to a stock when it is shifted to the T2T segment?

When a stock is transferred to the T2T sector, only delivery trades are permitted. Because intraday trading does not imply delivery of the stock, no intraday squaring will be authorized. Here are five things you should know about trading T2T stocks.

1. When you purchase a stock that is subject to T2T trading and are required to take delivery of the stock. That means you must pay the stock value at the end of the day. Otherwise, the broker will be forced to sell your shares on the market on T+2 and credit the loss to you. The broker may also penalize you.

2. It is more crucial to confirm that you already have delivery in your demat account when selling a T2T stock. After you sell the shares, you cannot buy them again because intraday trading is not authorized in these T2T equities. If you are unable to deliver on the T+2 date, the item is auctioned off, and the losses, in addition to penalties, could be substantial.

3. Keep in mind that intraday trading is not authorized in T2T stocks. Normally, broker trading algorithms will alert you to T2T stocks, but if you buy or sell one, there is no way to cover your position. You must always take or provide delivery.

Also read :- Kross files draft papers with Sebi to raise Rs 500 crore via IPO

4. BTST and STBT are extremely widespread in the brokerage industry. Basically, you buy today and sell tomorrow, or you sell today and buy tomorrow. You are essentially taking an overnight risk on the stock in both circumstances. However, because all T2T trades must fundamentally result in delivery, there is no room for BTST or STBT trades.

Finally, T2T equities differ from Z-group stocks. While both of these stocks are merely dependent on delivery, Z group stocks have a broader fundamental issue in that they have not complied with the listing agreement. T2T stocks outperform Z group stocks.

When a stock is transferred to the T2T section, the circuit filters are set to 5%. This ensures that the volatility in these equities is automatically reduced to a certain extent. That is, after all, the main reason for changing to the T2T segment.

Feel fortunate to reside in the Northern Hemisphere, as you will be able to witness the Draconid Meteor Shower between October 6 and 10. The peak will occur on October 9, which is also the ideal date to observe the meteor shower.

The Draconid meteor shower is one of the least active and is only visible in the northern hemisphere. With the moon in its last quarter and the sky being clear and dark, you may see approximately 10 meteors per hour!

Understand meteor showers

Meteors can be understood as bursts of light caused by space debris colliding with our atmosphere.

When the Earth passes through clouds of debris left by comets, meteor showers occur in the sky.

Tiny grains of debris penetrate our atmosphere at such high speed that the friction between them and the air heats up and produces a flash of light across the sky.

Comet 21P, also known as Giacobini-Zinner, orbits the sun every 6.5 years and last passed by the Earth in 2018. This comet’s debris causes The Draconids, also known as the Giacobinids.

These are also named after the Draco constellation from which they emanate.

How to watch the Draconid Meteor Shower?

As with any other meteor shower, these meteors will be seen in the sky.

The optimal conditions for viewing are a cloudless twilight away from urban areas. After midnight is the optimal time to observe precipitation.

Plan a pleasant outing with your loved ones and wait for the shower to arrive. If meteors traverse the sky in front of you, you will observe them.

Want to watch the constellation Draco?

The Summer Triangle can be used to locate the source of the Draconid meteor shower in the constellation Draco.

Three brilliant stars comprise the triangle: Altair, Deneb, and Vega. It is visible in the east once the sun has set.

ALSO READ :Bennu may reveal Earthly truths. NASA capsule samples will contain…

Draw a line from Altair, the closest star in the triangle to the horizon, to Vega, the star in the upper right, and you will reach Draco in short order.

Alternatively, Draco can be located by using the constellation Ursa Major, specifically the Plough or the Big Dipper.

Follow the line created by uniting the two outer stars of the Big Dipper’s bowl to Polaris, the north star. Once you reach Polaris, draw a line perpendicular and to the left; this will lead you to Draco.

After seven years of exploration and traveling over 6.2 billion kilometers, the mothership Osiris-Rex successfully delivered fragments from the asteroid Bennu, which is so far away from Earth that it is expected to approach ‘dangerously close’ to the planet in the 21st century, leading to the possibility of a collision. The capsule containing the sample contains 250 grams of material; however, the exact weight will be determined after precise measurement in a few weeks.

NASA has never before conducted a mission to collect samples from an asteroid. In 2004 and 2006, the US space agency sent spacecraft to collect samples of solar wind and comet material.

The analysis of Bennu’s sample will allow scientists to determine the origin of the Sun and other planets, as well as the formation of life on Earth. After dropping off the Bennu sample, Osiris-Rex headed for another asteroid Apophis and it is anticipated to reach there in 2029. The study of these asteroids will also aid scientists in devising methods to deflect them away from Earth.

The container will be unveiled in public within the next two days.

What will the sample be like?

Pegged at a size roughly similar to a skyscrapper, Bennu is a carbon-rich asteroid. Therefore, the rubble collected from its surface will have material filled with a lot of carbon content, as close to 5-10% by mass.

The sample is expected to be a mix of rocky fragments in sizes varying from a few millimetres to as small as a dust particle.

Due to its carbonaceous form, the sample is expected to appear very dark, almost black, as well as crumbly.

According to a theory, life on Earth began due to impacts of asteroids filled with important chemical compounds. Following on that, Bennu’s sample is also expected to have fascinating organic molecules such as compounds of amino acids, which are the building units of proteins.

The sample is also expected to show proof of water present in Bennu in different forms, as much as 10% by mass. It will also enable scientist to discover whether asteroids brought water along with it during collisions on the early Earth.

Genetics is the study of how traits are inherited. A trait is defined as a variation in the physical appearance of a heritable characteristic. It seeks to understand how traits are passed from generation to generation.

The basic unit of inheritance is the gene. Genes are made of DNA, which is a molecule that contains the instructions for building proteins. Proteins are the building blocks of cells and tissues, and they play a role in many different functions in the body.

Chromosomes are structures that contain genes. Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes, for a total of 46 chromosomes. Each chromosome is made of DNA tightly coiled around proteins. The genes on a chromosome are arranged in a specific order. This order determines which proteins are made by the cell.

When a cell divides, the chromosomes are copied so that each new cell gets a complete set of chromosomes. This is how genes are passed from parents to offspring.Mutations are changes in the DNA sequence of a gene. Mutations can be caused by environmental factors, such as exposure to radiation or chemicals, or they can be inherited from parents.

Mutations can change the way a gene works, which can lead to genetic diseases. However, mutations can also be beneficial, leading to new traits that are advantageous for survival.

Genetics is a complex and fascinating field of study. It is still not fully understood, but it has the potential to revolutionize our understanding of human health and disease.

Here are some additional things to know about genetics:

Genes can interact with each other, which can affect how they are expressed.

The study of genetics is important for understanding human health and disease. Genetic disorders can be caused by mutations in genes, and genetic testing can be used to diagnose and manage these disorders.

Genetic engineering is the use of technology to alter the DNA of organisms. This technology has the potential to be used to improve crops, create new medicines, and treat diseases.

Genetics is a rapidly evolving field, and there is still much that we do not know about it. However, the research that is being done in genetics is helping us to better understand ourselves and the world around us.

Here are some of the most important challenges facing the life sciences today:

The rising cost of healthcare: The cost of healthcare is increasing at a rate that is outpacing inflation. This is putting a strain on both individuals and governments. Life scientists are working on developing new treatments and technologies that are more affordable and accessible.

The growing threat of antibiotic resistance: Antibiotic resistance is a major problem that is making it more difficult to treat infections. Life scientists are working on developing new antibiotics and other treatments that can overcome antibiotic resistance.

The need for more sustainable food production: The world’s population is growing, and we need to find ways to produce more food in a sustainable way. Life scientists are working on developing new crop varieties that are more resistant to pests and diseases, and that require less water and fertilizer.

The impact of climate change on the environment: Climate change is having a significant impact on the environment, including on plants and animals. Life scientists are working to understand the effects of climate change and to develop ways to mitigate its impact.

These are just a few of the challenges facing the life sciences today. Life scientists are working on addressing these challenges and making the world a healthier and more sustainable place.
