Highlights of WWE Royal Rumble 2023 are: The Bloodline unleashed a vicious assault on Sami Zayn, who drilled a steel chair into the back of Roman Reigns. After Reigns retained the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship by defeating Kevin Owens, Roman asked Sami to attack KO with a steel chair. Sami, apparently irritated, assaulted Roman with a chair before all members of the Bloodline, excluding Jey Uso, attacked Zayn. Rhea Ripley and Cody Rhodes won their individual Royal Rumble battles to qualify for WrestleMania 39’s main event. Rhodes made a spectacular comeback to the WWE by entering the Rumble match at No. 30 and winning it by eliminating the No. 1 entrant Gunther in the final-two showdown. Ripley won the Women’s Royal Rumble, becoming only the fourth person ever to do so after entering at No. 1. The shocking elimination of Brock Lesnar by Bobby Lashley during the match left The Beast furious. Other significant returns include that of Edge and Logan Paul, while Booker T donned a Spinaroonie and laced his boots. In other contests, Bianca Belair successfully defended her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss, while Bray Wyatt won the first-ever Pitch Black match by defeating LA Knight.
