KTR, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), was referring to Priyanka Gandhi’s visit to Hyderabad’s Saroornagar on Monday to speak at a public meeting titled ‘Yuva Sangharshana Sabha’ on adolescent issues.

“Hyderabad is a global city that welcomes tens of thousands of tourists every day, including political tourists like Priyanka Gandhi,” said KTR.

The BRS leader took a jab at Congress, stating that parties that did not labor for the welfare of the people while in power are now “preaching to consistently high-performing state governments like Telangana.”

In an apparent jab at the Congress leader, KTR stated that “unemployed” politicians are “provoking Telangana’s youth.”

KTR asserted that the Congress exploited young people and the issue of unemployment “exclusively for political gain.”

“The country would not have experienced an unemployment crisis if the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had announced an employment policy and worked like BRS,” he stated.

“The Telangana government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao provided employment for 2.2 lakh youth in the government sector and 22 lakh youth in the private sector,” the BRS leader continued.

He advised Priyanka to implement the “inclusive and holistic development activities and policies of Telangana” in states governed by the Congress.

He demanded that Priyanka Gandhi apologize on behalf of the Congress party for allegedly “killing hundreds of Telangana youth during the separate Telangana movement by delaying the formation of the state for their political gains.”

KTR referred to the Congress party as a “sinking ship” and recommended that Priyanka Gandhi transform her “political tour” into a “educational tour.”

The Minister also emphasized the “failures” under Congress rule with respect to fundamental necessities such as drinking and irrigation water, electricity, and agricultural support, stating that the development in Telangana has been in “stark contrast” to the Congress-ruled states.

“In stark contrast to the Congress administration, the BRS-led Telangana government provided 24×7 power, Rythu Bandhu, Aasaea pensions for the destitute, and Mission Bhagiratha, among other initiatives. The intelligent citizens of Telangana will secure their future by electing KCR, who achieved the formation of the state, and Priyanka Gandhi will realize this during her tour, KTR stated.

At a press conference, Thota Chandrasekhar stated, “BRS will contest all 175 seats in the upcoming  Andhra Pradesh assembly election.” We will also compete in each of the state’s 25 parliamentary districts.

He added that Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister, Jagan Reddy, and TDP chief, Chandrababu Naidu, have done nothing to bring Andhra Pradesh into the category of states with special status.

“Neither Chief Minister Jagan nor former Chief Minister Chandrababu did anything regarding special status. Jagan could not obtain special status for Andhra Pradesh while maintaining cordial relations with Prime Minister Modi, he stated.

“Neither the TDP nor the YSR congress did anything for Andhra Pradesh. The Polavaram project is a critical matter to which neither party has paid any attention. This is a significant issue for our party,” he said.

In Andhra Pradesh, he added, BRS will become an alternative to the Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress.

“The BRS party will exert influence not only in the Godavari districts, but throughout Andhra Pradesh as a whole. Numerous workers from Godavari districts are joining the BRS party. Yesterday, we organized a meeting with activists to discuss the Visakhapatnam steel plant, and a significant number of BRS employees attended. Our party will emerge as an alternative to the TDP and YSRCP, he said.

Earlier, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and current president of the TDP, N Chandrababu Naidu, stated that the results of the state Legislative Council elections demonstrate that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) will not return to power.
