Here are ten facts about the new flying object after chinese spy balloon.

• The car-sized object posed a significant threat to civil aviation and was flying at approximately 40,000 feet.
• The origin of the object is unknown at this time. According to White House spokesman John Kirby, the object was unmanned. The balloon was significantly smaller than the one from last week and did not appear to be manoeuvrable, according to US pilots.
• Using an AIM-9X short-range air-to-air missile, an F-22 fighter aircraft based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska destroyed the object.
• The object flew over one of the most desolate areas in the country, which had a population of approximately 300 people.
• The object was detected by American radar at 9 p.m. on Thursday (Alaska time). It was moving between 20 and 10 miles per hour.
• Prior to the shoot-down, the Federal Aviation Administration restricted flights over a roughly 26-square-kilometer area of U.S. airspace off the coast of Alaska’s Bullen Point.
•  On Friday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted that he had been briefed on the decision and supported it.
• The object fell onto frozen waters, and officials anticipated that they would be able to recover the debris faster than they did with last week’s enormous balloon.
• The object shattered into fragments when it was shot down.

• The spy balloon escalated tensions between the United States and China, with the Pentagon claiming the balloon was part of China’s extensive surveillance programme. China warned of repercussions and called the US’s response an obvious overreaction. China stated that the balloon was for meteorological purposes and drifted away.

Washington has referred to the balloon as a highly developed high-altitude spying vehicle, whilst China claims it was an errant weather observation aircraft without any military intent.

A fighter jet shot down the balloon on Saturday as it gently crossed the middle of the country and, according to reports, passed over a number of top-secret military locations.

In an effort to defuse tensions following a visit by Nancy Pelosi, the then-speaker of the House, that infuriated China, Austin and Wei met in Cambodia last November.

However, the balloon downing incident has increased tensions, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has decided to cancel a rare trip to Beijing.

President Joe Biden defended the choice to wait until the balloon crossed the country before bringing it down on Monday, saying the Defense Department determined that doing so over water was the best option.

The same day, John Kirby, a spokesman for the National Security Council, said steps had been taken to ensure that the spying capabilities of the balloon’s instruments were “mitigated” during the flyover, while “at the same time increasing and improving our ability to collect intelligence and information from it.”

The debris field left behind by the balloon, which is anticipated to measure around 1,500 by 1,500 metres (yards) in the Atlantic, will be mapped by a military ship, according to General Glen VanHerck, chief of the US Northern Command.

He added the payload, which was around the size of a regional jet aircraft and weighed several thousand pounds, was carried by a balloon that could reach a height of 200 feet (60 metres).

The balloon debris, according to VanHerck, will be carefully examined.

I don’t know where the debris will go for a final analysis, but I can assure you that the intelligence community and the law enforcement community who work on this under counterintelligence will look at it carefully, he said.

India to shoot down a Chinese Spy Balloon?

After killing China’s Spy Balloon, America has now refused to give its remains. The Foreign Ministry has also canceled the proposed visit of Minister Antoni Blinken to Beijing next month. China has criticized this harsh decision of America.

Here, an intelligence report of the US Air Force has created a stir in the whole world. In this report of April 2022, information has been given about the Chinese spying balloon. It has been said in the report that even before 2019, a balloon was collecting information by roaming around in many countries of the world.

How did the Chinese Spy Balloon come on the radar?
According to the US Defense Department Pentagon, this 200 feet spy balloon was flying in the sky of Latin American coasts for the 5th time. After getting information from Canada, the US agency came into alert mode and it was shot down in the Atlantic Ocean.

A US Defense Ministry official told the Washington Post that at first it seemed normal, but then information came from Canada, after which it was monitored. Later we shot it down with an F-16 jet. The weight of the balloon is about 2000 pounds.

When did this Spy Balloon come to India?
According to the intelligence report of the US Air Force, in January 2022, this balloon was seen flying near the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India.

Earlier this balloon was also found flying in the coastal parts of Japan in 2020. This balloon has also been seen in Colombia in February 2023.

Actually, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are an important base of the Indian Navy. Here the data of bottom depth, salinity, and sea temperature have been collected in water areas. This is important in a fight with a submarine.

What is the preparation to deal with the spy balloon?
Along with the balloon, China also uses the underwater spying sea-wing many times. To monitor this, India has kept an SVL vessel, which does surveillance work within the sea.

Indian Navy currently has 6 CVL ships in its fleet and work is underway on 4 CVL ships, which will soon join the fleet.

Is this enough?
To deal with China’s spying, India will have to do a lot of work at the monitoring level. Let’s know in 3 points…

1. Jammer will have to be used in sensitive areas, so that it is not easy to get information. For this, sensitive areas will also have to be marked on a large scale.

2. An economical jet will have to be arranged to kill the spy balloon, so that any suspicious balloon can be killed.

3. China has also started proxy war in space as part of espionage campaign. In such a situation, India will have to take big steps in the field of space as well.

How does the Spy Balloon work?
This balloon, 120 feet wide and 130 feet long, can fly up to 37 km high in the sky. It is filled with helium gas inside, while a solar panel is mounted on top. Because of this, this balloon keeps flying in the sky for a long time.

Camera, radar, sensors and communication equipment are installed in the spy balloon. It tracks things easily and keeps giving its information to the system. Not only this, this balloon remains very high and it is not easy to shoot it down.

In US territorial waters in the Atlantic Ocean, an operation was underway to recover debris from the balloon, which had been flying at approximately 60,000 feet and was estimated to be the size of three school buses.Local photographer Travis Huffstetler of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, told CNN that he witnessed the US military shoot down the suspected Chinese spy balloon on Saturday afternoon. A Twitter user named Devon Pace filmed the destruction of a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon off the coast of North and South Carolina.

President Joe Biden was quoted by Reuters as saying, “We successfully took it down, and I want to commend our aviators who did it.”

The shootdown was initially announced by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who stated that the balloon was being used by China “to surveil strategic sites in the continental United States.”

“This afternoon, at the direction of President Biden, U.S. fighter aircraft assigned to USNORTHCOM successfully shot down the PRC’s high-altitude surveillance balloon over the water off the coast of South Carolina,” Austin said.
CNN reported that Navy and Coast Guard assets are on standby for any potential recovery efforts. This week, the balloon was first spotted in the sky over Montana and travelled across the country’s centre.

Off the coast of the Carolinas, where the US military shot down a suspected Chinese spy balloon, recovery efforts are underway. An official told CNN that the precise method for deflating the balloon remains unclear.

Local media in the United States reported that three airports were closed and a suspected spy balloon was shot down off the country’s east coast. The Federal Aviation Administration has reopened the region’s airspace after extending a ground stop at three airports in North and South Carolina.
When asked about the balloon, President Joe Biden told reporters earlier Saturday that “we’ll take care of it.” As the balloon reached the ocean, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Coast Guard worked to clear the airspace and water beneath it. Both the White House and the Pentagon have stated that the Chinese balloon poses no physical or military threat to those on the ground.
The Coast Guard advised mariners to leave the area immediately due to “significantly hazardous” U.S. military operations.

This week’s public disclosure of the balloon led to the cancellation of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s Sunday trip to Beijing for talks aimed at reducing U.S.-China tensions. Saturday, the Chinese government attempted to downplay the cancellation.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement Saturday morning stating, “In actuality, the United States and China have never announced a visit. Any such announcement by the United States is their business, and we respect that.”

China has maintained that the balloon was merely a weather research “airship” that had strayed from its intended path. The Pentagon categorically rejected this claim, as well as China’s claim that the vessel was not being used for surveillance and had limited navigational capabilities.

The balloon was spotted over Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, which is home to one of America’s three nuclear missile silo fields.

In addition, the Pentagon confirmed reports of a second balloon flying over Latin America. The Pentagon’s press secretary, Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, said in a statement, “We now believe it to be another Chinese surveillance balloon.”

Prior to shooting down the balloon, the FAA temporarily closed airspace over the Carolina coastline, including the airports in Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Wilmington, South Carolina and North Carolina, respectively. As a result of the flight restrictions, the FAA rerouted air traffic and warned of potential delays.

A small explosion was captured on camera, followed by the balloon’s descent into the water. It was observed that US military jets were in the area, and ships were deployed in the water to begin the recovery operation.

Officials aimed to time the operation so that as much debris as possible could be recovered before it sank into the ocean. Prior to this, the Pentagon estimated that any debris field would be extensive.

Top military officials had advised against shooting down the balloon while it was over the continental United States due to the danger the debris could pose to civilians and property on the ground, but officials maintained that all options remained open.
China asserted that the balloon entered US airspace by accident, but the US State Department stated that the balloon’s presence over US territory was “a clear violation of our sovereignty and international law, and it is unacceptable that this has occurred.”

China has denied any allegations of espionage and stated that the balloon is for meteorological research. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasised that it had no control over the balloon’s journey and urged the United States not to “tarnish” China based on the incident.

The postponement of Blinken’s trip, which had been agreed upon in November by Vice President Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, is a blow to those who viewed it as a long-overdue opportunity to stabilise the relationship between the two nations.

China desires a stable relationship with the United States so it can focus on its economy, which has been battered by the now-abandoned zero-Covid policy and neglected by foreign investors fearful of a return of state intervention in the market.

The first balloon, according to the Pentagon, is currently travelling east over the centre of the United States and is not being shot down for safety reasons.

Later on Friday, a balloon was reported to be passing through Latin America, according to Pentagon spokesperson Pat Ryder.

He continued, “We now assess it to be another Chinese spy balloon,” without mentioning where it was located specifically.

Moments before Blinken decided to postpone his trip in an effort to defuse tensions between the two nations, China apologised for the first balloon and attributed what it called a civilian airship’s entry into US airspace to winds.

However, the administration of President Joe Biden referred to it as a movable “surveillance balloon”.

Blinken postponed a two-day visit that was scheduled to begin on Sunday because the opposition Republican Party was already on the attack.

Blinken said that he “made plain that the presence of this surveillance balloon in US airspace is a clear violation of US sovereignty and international law, that it’s an irresponsible act” in a phone discussion with senior Chinese official Wang Yi.
However, according to Blinken, he informed Wang that “the United States is dedicated to diplomatic engagement with China and that I plan to visit Beijing when circumstances permit.”

“Getting the surveillance asset out of our airspace is the first step. That is our primary concern “Blinken informed the press.
