“On 11 June, IndiGo A321-252NX (Neo) VT-IMG was engaged in a tail strike while landing at Delhi while operating flight 6E-6183 Kolkata-Delhi. Go First, which has filed for insolvency, has a fleet of 55 aircraft, and the DGCA has received requests to deregister 45 aircraft. A senior DGCA official has verified that deregistration requests from multiple lessors have been received. They have received deregistration requests for 45 out of 55 total aircraft.

Lessors are pursuing repossession of their aircraft prior to a decision on Go First’s application for insolvency.

On May 4, aircraft lessors approached DGCA regarding the deregistration of 23 Go First Airways aircraft.

The operator has been suspended since the incident, and a special audit of Kedarnath helicopter operator starts on Monday, according to a senior DGCA official.

The deceased official, identified as 35-year-old Amit Saini, was UCADA’s financial controller. Auditing and surveillance duties brought him to the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) helipad.

An official had previously stated, “As he was about to board the helicopter, he was struck by the tail rotor blade and died instantly.”
