A tsunami threat has been raised for Vanuatu after a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck the island in the Ring of Fire region on Sunday. The US Geological Survey (USGS) has issued a tsunami warning for potentially dangerous waves in the water.

Tsunami warning withdrawn in southern Philippine islands
