										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The UN chief, Antonio Guterres, has expressed his deeply saddened the fatal train accident that occurred in Odisha on Friday.</p>
<p>In a statement released by his spokesperson on Saturday, UN chief Antonio Guterres expressed his deepest condolences to the victims&#8217; families &#8220;as well as the people and government of India,&#8221; according to UN news.</p>
<p>He also wished the injured a speedy and complete recovery.</p>
<p>&#8220;We are profoundly saddened by the tragic accident that occurred in Balasore, Odisha. The @UNinIndia family extends its deepest condolences to those who have lost dear ones. We hope the afflicted recover quickly. Our sympathies and prayers are with everyone impacted,&#8221; tweeted the United Nations in India.</p>
<p>Sunday, Pope Francis also expressed his condolences for the loss of life in the train disaster in Balasore, Odisha, in which 275 people were killed and over a thousand were injured. During the Sunday Angelus in Saint Peter&#8217;s Square, Pope Francis recalled the train accident victims.</p>
<p>&#8220;My prayers go out to the numerous victims of the railway accident that occurred in India two days ago (2 June). I extend my deepest condolences to the injured and their loved ones,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>After the tragic triple train accident in the Balasore district of Odisha, condolences flooded in from all corners of the globe.</p>
<p>Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his condolences for the loss of life in the train disaster in Balasore, Odisha, and expressed his thoughts for the victims&#8217; families.</p>
<p>Macron stated that France is in support of India.</p>
<p>After the tragic railway accident in Odisha, I extend my deepest condolences to President Murmu, Prime Minister Modi, and the Indian people. France stands with you in solidarity. &#8220;My thoughts are with the victims&#8217; families,&#8221; the French President tweeted.</p>
<p>Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida stated that he is &#8220;saddened&#8221; by the loss of life in the Odisha railway accident and wished the injured a speedy recovery.</p>
<p>President Vladimir Putin of Russia also conveyed his condolences to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the train accident.</p>

<p>According to railway officials, more than a thousand individuals were injured in the three-rail collision. On Friday evening, 17 coaches of the two trains derailed and were gravely damaged in an accident.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida for inviting him to the G7 Summit in Hiroshima.&#8221;Prime Minister Fumio Kishida invited me to attend the G7 Leaders&#8217; Summit in May in Hiroshima. I appreciate his assistance,&#8221; Prime Minister Modi said.</p>
<p>The Prime Minister engaged in extensive discussions with Kishida in an effort to expand the India-Japan strategic partnership for a peaceful, stable, and prosperous post-Covid world. The Japanese prime minister arrived this morning for a two-day official visit.</p>
<p>In welcoming his Japanese counterpart, Prime Minister Modi stated, &#8220;In the past year, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and I have met multiple times, and each time I have sensed his optimism and dedication to the India-Japan bilateral relationship. His visit today will be helpful in maintaining this momentum&#8221;.The Prime Minister went on to say that he is excited to see Kishida again in September of this year. In September of this year, I will again have the opportunity to greet Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to India for the G20 Leaders&#8217; Summit, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.</p>
<p>This year, Japan and India occupy the G7 and G20 presidencies, respectively.<br />
In his statement following the talks, Prime Minister Modi stated that the meeting seeks to give a voice to the global South and strengthen the relationship between India and Japan.<br />
Kishida paid his respects to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat before meeting with Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House.</p>
<p>At the Palam airport, Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar met the Japanese prime minister. The visit of Kishida is viewed as an excellent occasion to assess bilateral relations between the two countries. This is his second trip to the nation as the Japanese prime minister.Kishida stated on Sunday that the purpose of his visit would be to strengthen the &#8220;special strategic and global partnership&#8221; between the two nations.</p>
<p>&#8220;Japan holds the G7 presidency this year, while India leads the G20. &#8220;I intend to engage in an in-depth discussion with Prime Minister Modi regarding the role Japan and India should play in the international community,&#8221; he said.</p>
