In a jab at those who interrupted him, the chief minister stated that if the education system could have improved through “such slogan” chanting, it would have done so over the past seventy years.

A portion of the audience began chanting “Modi, Modi” during Kejriwal’s speech concerning the Delhi government’s model for school education.

“Please allow me five minutes to speak. I implore members of both parties to allow me to speak,” he said.

“I realize that you may not agree with my ideas and views. You may comment, but this is inappropriate. In this democracy, everyone has the right to speak,” he stated when he was again interrupted.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that BJP employees caused a “ruckus” during the program, but Kejriwal’s brilliant response silenced them.

AAP and BJP supporters engaged in sloganeering outside the campus while the inauguration was in progress.

Both the AAP-led municipal government and Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena have claimed they will inaugurate the newly constructed Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University campus in east Delhi.
