										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>KOLKATA:The fire that broke out at the Kolkata airport on Wednesday night began in a small chamber where airlines store various stationery items, according to the airport&#8217;s director C Pattabhi.</p>
<p>Thursday, he told the media that an investigation has already begun to determine the exact cause of the fire.</p>
<p>&#8220;Airlines use the small room where the fire started to store various stationery items related to the flight departure process,&#8221; he explained.</p>
<p>Pattabhi stated that while there were no issues with the operations of incoming flights, some flights that were about to depart were delayed due to the fire.</p>
<p>Wednesday at 9:12 p.m., a fire broke out at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, causing chaos and distress among passengers. The fire was extinguished at 9:40 p.m., and check-in services resumed at 10:25 p.m., according to officials.</p>
<p>They stated that no one was injured in the incident.<br />
According to sources, a preliminary report on the incident has already been sent to the relevant agencies.</p>

<p>Earlier, West Bengal Fire Services Minister Sujit Bose told media, &#8220;It appears that a problem with the air conditioning system caused the fire.&#8221;</p>
<p>According to officials, 13 flights were delayed due to the incident.</p>
