Manish Sisodia Arrested By ED: Manish Sisodia arrested by another central agency a day prior to his bail hearing in the Delhi liquor policy case before a Central Bureau of Investigation court, according to sources.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister after questioning him for two days over alleged money laundering while drafting the new liquor policy, which was scrapped after Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena requested an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The detention by the ED complicates matters for Mr. Sisodia, who was requesting bail from the CBI court. The ED will exhibit him in court tomorrow, the same day his probable bail hearing will occur.Mr. Sisodia is being held in the Tihar jail in Delhi under judicial detention after his arrest by the CBI on February 26 ended.

Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that the ED action is intended to prevent his party colleague Mr. Sisodia from leaving the country.”Manish was initially apprehended by the CBI. The CBI found no evidence, and no money, during the operation. Tomorrow, a parole hearing will occur. Tomorrow, Manish would have been released.

Thus, ED apprehended him today. They have only one objective, which is to keep Manish imprisoned at all costs by fabricating daily fake cases. People are observing. The populace will respond, “Tonight, Mr. Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.
In drafting the Delhi liquor policy, Mr. Sisodia and others are accused of permitting liquor cartelisation and favouring specific merchants. The AAP has denied accepting bribes from merchants or politicians.

The BJP asserts that the AAP would not have rescinded its liquor policy if it was certain it had not committed any wrongdoing.

Manish Sisodia, who currently oversees 18 of the national capital’s 33 departments, was arrested on Sunday after an eight-hour interrogation by the Central Bureau of Investigation. Today, he petitioned the Supreme Court for bail, which instructed him to first approach the Delhi high court. Now, the AAP has decided to move to the high court.

After Jain’s arrest in May of 2012, Sisodia was assigned the health portfolio in addition to the ones he was already responsible for. His arrest coincides with the presentation of the budget for the government of Delhi.

Manish Sisodia arrested: The CBI has arrested Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, in relation to the Delhi excise policy case. CBI officials interrogated Sisodia for nearly eight hours prior to his recent arrest.

The detention is related to allegations of corruption in the implementation of the now-abandoned liquor policy for 2021-22 in Delhi. Sisodia, the primary suspect in the CBI FIR, was questioned on October 17, a month before the agency released its charge sheet on November 25. The CBI did not identify Sisodia in the charge sheet because it was still investigating him and other suspects and defendants.

Here are the 10 Points Cheatsheet of this event:

1.Since morning, Mr. Sisodia has been questioned by the Central agency, and his detention occurred after more than nine hours.

2. Mr. Sisodia had previously stated that he is willing to serve seven to eight months in prison. “I don’t care if I have to spend a few months in prison. I am a devotee of Bhagat Singh, who was executed for the nation “He had posted tweets.

3. The Delhi Police had made elaborate security arrangements to maintain law and order in the event of an arrest, including stationing personnel in front of Mr. Sisodia’s home and the CBI office. A protest by the Aam Aadmi Party was dispersed in the morning, and several leaders and employees were detained.

4. Mr. Sisodia’s party leader and Delhi’s chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, have assured him that his family will be cared for. “It is not a misfortune to go to prison for the country and society; rather, it is a badge of honour. I beseech to God for your speedy release from jail. Children, guardians, and all of us in Delhi await your arrival “he tweeted.

5. Mr. Sisodia was asked to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation for interrogation last Sunday, but he requested more time, citing his work on the Delhi budget. Mr. Sisodia is the minister of finance in the government of Arvind Kejriwal.

6. Mr. Sisodia stated that the summons for interrogation was the BJP’s method of retaliation for failing to get nominated members to vote in Delhi’s civic body and thus control the Mayoral elections.

7. Mr. Sisodia and others are accused of corruption for introducing a new policy for the sale of alcoholic beverages in the nation’s capital. The CBI has named seven defendants in the liquor policy case chargesheet, but Mr. Sisodia is not included.

8. In exchange for compensation, the CBI asserts that liquor companies were involved in drafting the 2021 liquor policy. The formulated policy would have resulted in a 12% profit for them, of which 6% would have been routed to public servants via intermediaries such as the Hyderabad-based businessman Abhishek Bonipally.

9. The Enforcement Directorate has also initiated an investigation, alleging that the kickbacks were laundered. It claimed that a liquor lobby known as the “South Group” paid at least 100 crore to AAP for its election campaign in Goa.

10. The BJP asserts that the Delhi government reverted to the previous policy for the sale of alcoholic beverages to conceal corruption in the excise department, which Mr. Sisodia oversees.
