Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL) and the ninth richest person in the world, and his wife, Nita Ambani, danced to the popular song “Wah Wah Ramji” from the 1994 movie “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” at the engagement party for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The Ambanis danced to a version of the popular song in which the words included their names.

Isha went to the Merchant home to invite them and Radhika to the evening’s events.

According to what Reliance said, Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi were done as part of the ceremony. “Age-old traditions like the Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi, which Gujarati Hindu families have been doing for generations, were carried out with great enthusiasm in the family temple,” the company’s statement said.

When the Ambanis’ dog helped with the ring ceremony for Anant and Radhika, things took a “paw-some” turn. The dog of Ambanis came down the stairs of Antilia carrying a ring pouch on his back.

The roka between Anant and Radhika took place on December 29 at the Shrinathji Temple in Rajasthan. Anant is the son of Reliance Industries, and Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant, who run Encore Healthcare, gave birth to Radhika. Anant is in charge of RIL’s efforts to use green

energy. He has also served on the boards of RIL’s subsidiaries, such as Reliance Retail Ventures and Jio Platforms.
