										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>  Rescue Eight-Year-Old Boy In MP :</strong> At approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday, an eight-year-old boy fell into a 60-foot-deep borewell in the Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh. The boy is stranded 43 feet below the surface.</p>
<p>According to Vidisha Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sameer Yadav, oxygen is being supplied within the borewell, but rescuers have not yet been able to communicate with the boy. Additionally, webcams have been installed to locate the boy.</p>
<p>Rescue &#8220;A boy, 8 years old, fell into a 60-foot-deep borewell in Vidisha  MP and became stuck at 43 feet. There are three SDRF teams and one NDRF team at the location. The child is being monitored and oxygen is being supplied inside the borewell. &#8220;We have not yet been able to communicate with him, nor has food been delivered to him,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>The ASP added that the rescuers have noticed some movement inside the borewell &#8211; a sign that the child is alive.</p>
<p>&#8220;The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. The police and administration arrived immediately. Movements have been noticed inside the borewell and we are trying to pull the child out as early as possible,&#8221; Yadav added.</p>
<p>According to Yadav, in order to reach the child, the rescue team dug a 34-foot pit within a 49-foot pit. &#8220;We are optimistic that the child will be rescued in the near future,&#8221; he said.</p>

<p>In a similar incident in the Ahmednagar district of Madhya Pradesh, a five-year-old died after falling into a borewell. According to officials with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the boy fell accidentally into a 200-foot-deep, uncovered borewell while playing around 4 p.m. on Monday and became trapped at 20 feet. Although rescuers were able to extricate the boy from the well on Tuesday morning, he was pronounced dead.</p>

<p>Tuesday afternoon, according to defence officials, three IAF C-17 Globemaster aircraft — two carrying NDRF personnel and one carrying an Army medical team — departed for Turkey.</p>
<p>A C-17 Globemaster carrying an additional Army medical team and a C-130 transport aircraft carrying medical supplies both departed for Damascus, Syria in the evening.</p>
<p>The Army said in a statement that the 60 Para Field Hospital in Agra has dispatched a 99-member medical team. &#8220;The medical team consists of critical care specialist teams, such as the orthopaedic surgical team, the general surgical specialist team, and the medical specialist teams in addition to other medical teams,&#8221; it stated.</p>
<p>It is stated that the teams are outfitted with X-ray machines, ventilators, an oxygen generation plant, cardiac monitors, and other equipment in order to establish a 30-bed medical facility.</p>
<p>Two teams consisting of 101 personnel and a four-member canine squad have been dispatched to assist with rescue operations, according to the NDRF. The NDRF has maintained two additional teams on standby.</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve dispatched two teams, four dogs, four-wheeled vehicles, chipping hammers, cutting tools, first-aid supplies, and a communications system. Our first team, which included five female personnel, departed for Turkey aboard an IAF aircraft at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, according to NDRF Director General Atul Karwal.</p>

<p>&#8220;Each team consists of five female rescuers, a physician, and paramedics. Mohsen Shahidi, DIG (Operations) of the NDRF, stated, &#8220;We have also sent vehicles, especially light vehicles, with both teams.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Each member of the team has been trained to handle such situations. This is not the first time the NDRF has travelled abroad. Shahidi stated that the NDRF has participated in two similar international operations: the 2011 triple disaster in Japan (earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear meltdown) and the 2015 Nepal earthquake.</p>
<p>After arriving at the Adana airport in Turkey, according to officials, Indian personnel met with Turkish government and Indian Embassy representatives for further deployment to affected areas.</p>
<p>In the meantime, Turkey&#8217;s ambassador to India, Firat Sunel, tweeted, &#8220;&#8216;Dost&#8217; is a common word in both Turkish and Hindi&#8230; We have a Turkish proverb: &#8216;Dost kara günde belli olur&#8217; (a friend in need is a friend indeed). &#8220;Many thanks to India,&#8221;</p>

After tremors shook Turkey and Syria on Monday, India dispatched the NDRF team to Turkey.</p>
<p>Deepak Talwar, Deputy Commandant of the NDRF, who is leading the first NDRF team from India to Turkey,&#8221;This team consists of 47 NDRF soldiers and three senior officials who will do recovery and response work in accordance with UN rules.&#8221;</p>
<p>He went on to say, &#8220;We&#8217;ve got orders for two separate squads. The first team will be leaving very shortly, and the second team will go in the morning. Following catastrophe response, humanitarian help would be delivered in accordance with Government of India norms.&#8221;</p>

<p>Mohsen Shahedi, DIG, Operations and Training, NDRF, remarked, &#8220;As you are aware, a tremendous earthquake struck Turkey and Syria. As part of HADR (Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief) efforts, the Indian government has decided to send two NDRF teams to Turkey.&#8221;</p>
<p>He went on to say, &#8220;The teams are dispatched to assist with the rescue and relief efforts. This expedition will involve approximately 101 NDRF men from two teams, one from the Eight battalion of NDRF in Ghaziabad and the other from the second battalion in Kolkata.&#8221;</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the official spokeswoman for the Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi, tweeted: &#8220;The implementation of India&#8217;s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) capabilities. The initial shipment of earthquake relief materials, including NDRF Search and Rescue Teams, specially trained dog squads, medical supplies, drilling machinery, and other essential equipment, is en route to Turkey.&#8221;</p>
<p>In a statement released on Monday, the prime minister&#8217;s office (PMO) said that a meeting was held and it was decided that search and rescue teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and medical teams along with relief supplies would be dispatched immediately in coordination with the Turkish government.</p>
<p>&#8220;In addition, medical teams are being prepared with skilled physicians and paramedics carrying vital medications. In collaboration with the Turkish authorities and the Indian Embassy in Ankara and Consulate General in Istanbul, relief supplies will be delivered &#8220;the Prime Minister&#8217;s Office said. P K Mishra, the Prime Minister&#8217;s Principal Secretary, convened a meeting in South Block to explore immediate relief measures.</p>
<p>The death toll from Monday&#8217;s earthquakes in Turkey and Syria has surpassed 3,800. Following earthquakes, the total number of injured in Syria and Turkey has reached 15,914 people. Anadolu Agency claimed that at least 2,379 people were killed and 14,483 others were injured as a result of earthquakes in southern Turkey on Monday.</p>
<p>According to the Syrian Ministry of Health, 711 people have died and 1,431 have been injured as a result of the earthquake, including in Lattakia, Aleppo, Hama, and Tartus, SANA said.</p>
<p>CNN claimed that the Syrian Civil Defense, also known as the &#8220;White Helmets,&#8221; recorded 740 dead in opposition-controlled territory.</p>
<p>Monday, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake centred in the Pazarcik district shook Kahramanmaras and many provinces, including Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Adana, Adiyaman, Malatya, Osmaniye, Hatay, and Kilis, according to a report by the Anadolu Agency.</p>

<p>Monday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred in Goksun, Turkey.</p>
