]]> Environment minister of Delhi Gopal Rai stated that the government will study the Supreme Court order before implementing the odd-even rule. The Apex Court criticized the government for the pollution situation in the National Capital on Tuesday and questioned the efficacy of the odd-even scheme to ration the number of cars on the road. A day after the Delhi government declared that the odd-even scheme would be reinstated from November 13 to November 20, the highest court remarked, “It’s all optics.”

The transportation department convened on Tuesday to deliberate on the specifics of the odd-even program. “However, in the interim, we encountered some observations that the Supreme Court had made. Consequently, rather than reiterating the odd-even principles, we shall now review the Supreme Court’s order and observations. “Once they have been analyzed, they will be integrated into the plan,” Gopal Rai stated.

“Delhi has implemented odd-even, but to no avail has it proven successful. “Everything is optics,” stated Justice SK Kaul. Regarding Delhi pollution, a bench comprised of Justices SK Kaul and Sudhanshu Dhulia was in session.
