German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated on Sunday that his government wants to make it easier for Indian IT professionals to obtain work visas in Germany.

Scholz visited IT firms in Bengaluru on Sunday, including a site operated by the German software firm SAP. He was joined by company representatives.

He also met with officials and players from the Royal Challengers Bangalore Indian Premier League cricket team.

Scholz stated on Saturday that India has experienced a tremendous rise and emphasised that this is “excellent” for bilateral relations. Scholz noted in a joint press conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the development of IT and software is booming in India.
