Monday,  Ke Huy Quan was awarded the Academy Award for his critically acclaimed portrayal of a devoted husband in “Everything, Everywhere, At Once.” Only the second actor of Asian descent to win Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards.

According to Variety, Ke Huy Quan, a former child star who returned to the public eye after nearly 40 years, became emotional while accepting the award.

In his acceptance speech, Quan stated, “My journey began aboard a ship. I lived in a refugee camp for one year. And somehow I found myself on Hollywood’s largest stage.”

“It is said that such stories only exist in the movies. I cannot believe this is taking place. This exemplifies the American dream, he continued.

For Ke Huy Quan, the victory signifies a particularly emotional conclusion to award season. As Harrison Ford’s sidekick in the 1984 film “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and an actor in the 1985 film “The Goonies,” he rose to fame before reaching puberty. Shortly thereafter, however, Quan gave up acting because he discovered that there were few significant film roles for Asians.

The song “Naatu Naaatu,” which has become a massive hit, has won a number of awards.

“Naatu Naatu” won the Golden Globe Award for “Best Original Song” in January. Five days later, at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards, ‘RRR’ won two additional oscar awards. One is for the best song, and the other is for the best film in a foreign language. Since then, ‘RRR’ and ‘Naatu Naatu’ have dominated the worldwide charts. The song appeals to the masses due to its universal appeal, which is achieved through a happy vibe and a popular dance step. In addition, the lyrics reflect the country’s culture, with each line evoking feelings about the country’s cuisine and flora and fauna.

Outside of the film, “Naatu Naatu” has amassed more than 122 million views on YouTube and inspired a TikTok challenge in which users attempt to recreate the acrobatic dance-off. Since it was posted on Twitter on Sunday, Chang Jae-53-second bok’s rendition has received more than 4.8 million views.

“Naatu Naatu” was filmed during the final phase of filming. A few months prior to the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, filming took place at the Mariinskyi Palace (Ukraine Presidential Palace) in Kyiv.

Also released in Hindi as ‘Naacho Naacho,’ Tamil as ‘Naattu Koothu,’ Kannada as ‘Halli Naatu,’ and Malayalam as ‘Karinthol’ Rahul Sipligunj and Vishal Mishra performed its Hindi rendition.

Rihanna did not mention the fact that she is pregnant while she was performing, but she was clearly pregnant, and her representatives confirmed the news to Variety shortly after the show ended.
