According to reports, the incident occurred as Sukhoi Su-30MKI and Mirage 2000 fighter jets were conducting an exercise nearby. Both aircraft took off from the air base in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, according to the information that was available. The accident’s exact cause is still unknown. IAF officials have stated that details about the incident will be released following a thorough investigation.

The planes wreckage has been located, according to the most recent bulletin. Operations for search and rescue have begun. Three pilots were involved, and one of them suffered fatal injuries.

In its first official statement, the Indian Air Force states that an investigation has been ordered to ascertain the accident’s cause.

“The morning saw the departure from Gwalior of two jets, the Mirage and the Sukhoi. According to the IAF, one aircraft had two pilots, while the other had one; two were successfully recovered, while the remains of a third were discovered. Several jet parts were discovered in Bharatpur (Raj), and information is being gathered “says MP SP Morena.

“Around 10:15 am, information regarding a jet disaster was received. It was discovered to be an IAF fighter plane after arriving here. We are unable to determine whether it is a fighter plane or a conventional plane based just on the debris. It is unknown if the pilots left or remain inside “Bharatpur DSP spoke.

An IAF court of inquiry will be opened to determine whether or not there was a mid-air collision.

During the crash, the Su-30 had two pilots while the Mirage 2000 only had one. According to preliminary reports, two pilots are safe, and an IAF helicopter is on its way to the position of the third pilot, Defence Sources told.
The sources added that Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, is in contact with the heads of the IAF, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and CDS Gen Anil Chauhan, to learn more about the disaster.

For the Indian Air Force, the Sukhoi Design Bureau and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) collaboratively developed the Sukhoi Su-30MKI, a multirole combat fighter aircraft. As opposed to the Rafale fighter jets, the Mirage 2000 was created by French aviation company Dassault.

Aviation officials in Kathmandu have confirmed that there were five Indian passengers on board the plane that crashed on Sunday morning near Pokhara, Nepal.

Seventy-two people, including four crew members and at least ten foreigners, were travelling aboard a Yeti Airlines aircraft.

“I am profoundly shocked by the unfortunate crash of a Yeti Airlines ANC ATR 72 carrying people from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
In a social media post, Nepal‘s Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, aka Prachanda, made a heartfelt call to security officers, all government agencies, and the general public to begin an effective rescue.

Soon after the plane crashed on the runway of Pokhara’s brand-new international airport as it was approaching the runway, Mr. Prachanda arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport.
The aircraft was seen tilting to the left as it reached the ground and crashed with a loud thud, according to pictures shot by local Pokhara residents.

S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs for the Union, wrote on Twitter, “Deeply grieved on hearing about the air crash in Pokhara, Nepal.
We are thinking of the impacted families.

Here are some facts regarding the Nepal plane crash:

According to Reuters, there were five Indians, four Russians, one Irishman, and two South Koreans on board the aircraft when it crashed.

Local media said that dense black smoke could be seen billowing from the disaster site in videos widely posted on social media, while rescue attempts proceeded at the crash site.

According to the flight monitoring website FlightRadar24, rescue crews and large crowds surrounded the wreckage of the 15-year-old aircraft.

The Yeti Airlines ATR-72 9N-ANC took off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 10:33 a.m., according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

In Nepal, Pokhara is a popular tourist destination.

Local media said that, during landing, the plane crashed on the Seti river bank between the old and new airports.

According to Chief District Officer of the Kaski district, Tek Bahadur KC, the plane crashed into the Seti river valley.

Nepal’s prime minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ called an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers in response to the accident.

In addition, he expressed regret over the accident and ordered the Home Ministry, security officials, and all government agencies to immediately launch rescue and relief activities.

Last year, on May 29, a Tara Air plane crashed in Nepal’s Mustang province, killing all 22 persons onboard.
