										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mumbai got a lot of rain on Thursday, the first time in almost a month that the rainy season had stopped. A story in Mint said that the subways in Andheri and Malad were still closed to traffic. On Friday, clouds and lightning are likely to hit the city. At the same time, though, the rain should get lighter after 36 hours. Before, on September 7 and 8, the India Meteorological Department sent out a yellow alert for Mumbai, Palghar, and Thane.</p>
<p>It has been raining in Mumbai again, almost a month after a break. It rained 21.2 mm at the IMD Colaba observatory and 36.7 mm at the Santacruz observatory around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.</p>
<p>On social media, people shared videos of the heavy rain in Mumbai. &#8220;Damn!&#8221; someone wrote after sharing a video of rain in the city. It&#8217;s raining again in Mumbai.&#8221;</p>

<p>In other news, parts of Delhi got a lot of rain on Thursday after a long stretch of hot weather. Burari, Kanjhawala, Rohini, Badili, Mundaka, Pashchim Vihar, Jafarpur, Nazafgarh, NCR (Bahadurgarh), Farukhnagar, and Rewari (Haryana) are all places that the weather service says will get mild to heavy rain.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A man in Hyderabad released a serpent into the municipal corporation office after officials ignored his request for assistance. Deccan Chronicle reported that Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials failed to act when a serpent entered the home of Sampath Kumar in the Alwal neighbourhood during heavy rains and flooding.</p>

<p>According to the report, Kumar lashed out at the municipal authorities, claiming that they never resolved matters on time and that several sanitation issues required immediate attention.</p>
<p>After waiting for over six hours for a response, Kumar decided to lodge his protest by leaving the snake on the table of an official on Tuesday.</p>
<p>A video of the incident showed the snake crawling on a table at the GHMC office.</p>

<p>As floodwaters recede, the number of serpent sightings in Delhi has increased. In all flood-affected districts, a swift response team has been assigned to address snake-related concerns. There have been numerous reports of snake sightings in residential areas, posing a threat to residents.</p>
<p>When their natural habitats are infiltrated by flood or rainfall, snakes and other reptiles seek out dry areas, according to Suneesh Buxy, Delhi&#8217;s chief wildlife warden. While the majority of snakes encountered have been nonvenomous, cobras and kraits have also been discovered.</p>

<p>On Wednesday, the Yamuna river in Delhi surpassed the danger level of 205.33 metres due to heavy rainfall in sections of the capital and upper catchment areas. At 8 p.m., the Central Water Commission (CWC) reported that the water level at the Old Railway Bridge (ORB) was 205.50 metres.</p>
<p>On Thursday, all educational institutions in Telangana will be closed due to the persistent rainfall. Monday, the India Meteorological Department issued a red alert and forecasted significant precipitation in the state through Thursday.</p>

<p>According to RWFC New Delhi, the following locations will experience mild rain/sprinkling over the next two hours: Muzaffarnagar, Kandhla, Bijnaur, Khatauli, Sakoti Tanda, Chandpur, Daurala, Meerut, Sidhmukh, and Kotputli (Rajasthan).</p>
<p>Earlier on Thursday, rain and thunderstorms pummeled portions of the nation&#8217;s capital. Thursday, the India Meteorological Department predicted, &#8220;Scattered to widespread rainfall/thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are likely in Northwest India from March 30 to April 1.&#8221;</p>

<p>30-31 March, isolated hailstorms over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and East Rajasthan; 30 March over West Rajasthan and 31 March over Uttar Pradesh. On March 31 in Northwest India, the Met reported isolated torrential rainfall over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.</p>
<p>From March 31 to April 2, it was probable that scattered to widespread rain/thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds would occur in East India. Friday will likely bring isolated hailstorms to Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha. IMD forecasted sporadic to widespread light/moderate rain/thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds from March 30-April 3 in Northeast India.</p>
<p>On March 31-April 2, isolated heavy precipitation is probable over Assam and Meghalaya; on April 1-2, over Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. On March 30 and 31, the IMD forecasted the likelihood of isolated rainfall/thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in Central India. IMD forecasted mild isolated rainfall/thunderstorms in South India for the next five days, with the exception of Northern Karnataka.</p>
<p>IMD forecasted light, isolated precipitation for West India on March 30-31. Several areas of Delhi and the NCR experienced sudden rainfall and thunderstorms on Wednesday night. On Wednesday, nine flights were diverted from Delhi to Jaipur due to adverse weather conditions.</p>

<p><b>RAJASTHAN NIGHT TEMPERATURES GO UP</b></p>
<p>A Met Office spokesman said that across the state of Rajasthan, minimum temperatures rose by a few degrees. At night, the temperature in Sirohi was 2.8 degrees Celsius, the lowest in the state. Karauli came in at 5.2 degrees.</p>
<p>At night, the mercury dropped to 5.5 degrees Celsius in Churu, 6.7 degrees in Jaisalmer, 7 degrees in Dholpur and Dabok, 7.3 degrees in Alwar, 7.5 degrees in Chittorgarh, 7.8 degrees in Sangaria and Sriganganagar.</p>
<p>In the next two to three days, the meteorological service predicts mild to moderate rainfall in solitary locations in the Bharatpur, Kota, Jaipur, Udaipur, and Ajmer divisions.</p>
<p>According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) while cold wave in north India, the highest temperature on Sunday in the nation&#8217;s capital was 24 degrees Celsius. The low temperature was 8.2 degrees Celsius, which is slightly higher than average.</p>
<p>IMD predicts a chance of a few showers in the city this week.</p>
<p>According to IMD, the humidity was between 97% and 51%. The outlook for Monday calls for light fog, with low and high temperatures averaging 9 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.</p>

<p><strong>FOGGY CONDITIONS, DRIZZLE IN PARTS OF MP</strong></p>
<p>There was fog in several parts of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday morning, including the state capital of Bhopal, and drizzles in the eastern districts of Rewa and Satna, according to an IMD official.</p>
<p>An induced cyclonic circulation emerged over south-west Rajasthan in response to a western disturbance over northern regions of India, leading to south-easterly and, at times, southerly winds, according to HS Pandey, a senior meteorologist at the IMD&#8217;s Bhopal office. He was speaking to PTI.</p>

<p><strong>RAIN AND COLD WAVE IN NORTH INDIA LIKELY THIS WEEK</strong></p>
<p>The latest weather report from the IMD predicts that thunderstorms with lightning may occur in a few locations in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh on January 23.</p>
<p>The Met Office has predicted that heavy rainfall is possible in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with thunderstorms, lightning, and hail also possible in some locations.</p>
