Ganguly against Warne

In the IPL, Sourav Ganguly and Shane Warne once clashed over the legitimacy of a catch. Ganguly wished for the third umpire to recheck the catch, which angered Warne, the captain of Rajasthan Royals. The two engaged in a heated argument until they were separated by the umpires and teammates.

The shirt-waving jubilation of Ganguly at Lord’s.

When India overcame a deficit to win the 2002 Natwest Trophy final at Lord’s, captain Ganguly didn’t mind violating tradition by removing his shirt and waving it passionately on the iconic cricket ground’s historic balcony. Ganguly did not concern that the act was not well received by the members of the MCC.

Potshot at Dravid after retirement

Ganguly did make a recovery after a dispute with Greg resulted in him losing his starting position. After years of seclusion, he made a startling remark about Rahul Dravid. He claimed that Dravid did nothing to assist him in the Chappell affair. Dravid replied that Ganguly never approached him to seek a solution to the problem.

Ganguly opposed to Chappell

In 2005, Greg Chappell arrived to India and forever altered Indian cricket. In the end, he did nothing but cause harm. The majority of the team’s players had become anti-Chappell, which contributed to a toxic dressing room environment. In Zimbabwe, it all began with an argument between him and then-captain Ganguly. It also resulted in Ganguly losing his captaincy and spot in the team for a limited time. The greatest blow was India’s elimination from the 2007 ODI World Cup in the West Indies.

Conflict with Virat Kohle

During Sourav Ganguly’s tenure as president of the BCCI, the tension between him and then-captain Virat Kohli was evident. The fiery, Delhi-born Kohli told the press that no one at the BCCI had asked him not to resign as T20 captain. This statement by Kohli cast Ganguly in a negative light, as Ganguly had previously stated that he had done so. Ganguly and Kohli did not clasp hands during IPL 2023, reinforcing rumors of a rift between them.
