The rover had found the crater three meters from the edge and had been routed to a safer course, the Indian Space Research Organization, or ISRO, tweeted on Monday afternoon.Over the course of its two-week journey, the six-wheeled, solar-powered rover will wander over the largely uncharted area and send pictures and scientific data.

Nilesh M. Desai, Director, Space Applications Centre (SAC), stated on Sunday that the Chandrayaan-3 rover module Pragyan, moving on the surface of the moon, is in a “race against time” and that the ISRO scientists are working to cover a maximum distance of the uncharted South pole through the six-wheeled rover. There are only 10 days left until the completion of one lunar day.

The three major goals of the moon mission, according to him, were to gently land on the moon’s surface, maneuver the Pragyan rover, and collect science data using payloads connected to the Vikram lander and rover.

The scientist remarked, “Our first two main objectives have been successfully completed, but our third objective is under way.”The Chandrayaan-3 mission’s lander module has successfully started carrying out its planned set of experiments, according to a statement from the ISRO earlier on Sunday.

A graph depicting the temperature change on the lunar surface as depth increases, as determined by the ChaSTE instrument onboard Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander module, has also been made public by the space agency.A temperature probe with a controlled penetration mechanism that can penetrate 10 cm below the surface is part of the payload.

On August 23, India made a huge step forward when the Chandrayaan-3 lander module successfully touched down on the Moon’s South Pole, making it the first nation to accomplish the legendary accomplishment.

After the US, China, and Russia, the nation became the fourth to accomplish a successful lunar landing.

Welcome, friend! Ch-3 LM was officially greeted by Ch-2 orbiter. There is established two-way contact between the two. The space agency noted in its statement that MOX now has more options for getting to the LM

Additionally, it stated that on August 23 (Wednesday), at 5.20 p.m., a live broadcast of the landing will start.Vikram took pictures of the Moon’s craters in the uncharted area of the lunar south pole, which is constantly facing away from the Earth, before the landing.

The craters were recognized in the photos, which were taken last Saturday: Hayn, Boss L, Mare Humboldtianum, and Bel’kovich. ISRO has posted them on the social networking website.K Sivan, a former head of ISRO who oversaw Chandrayaan-2, the organization’s first lunar mission, said on Monday that the project will be a “grand success. This is an extremely stressful time…I have no doubt that it will be a huge success this time,” Mr. Sivan told the news agency ANI.

Live coverage of the landing will be available on Facebook, Doordarshan, YouTube, and the ISRO website.

On Thursday, the spacecraft’s lander module successfully disengaged from the propulsion module, conducted vital “deboosting” maneuvers, and lowered itself to a slightly lower orbit. The Chandrayaan-3 mission’s lander bears Vikram Sarabhai’s name. Vikram Sarabhai, who lived from 1939 to 1971, is widely recognized as the founder of India’s space program.
