As a result of their elimination from the qualifiers, West Indies will miss the ODI World Cup for the very first time in history. The two-time World Cup champions were eliminated from World Cup qualifying after a loss to Scotland. After defeating Oman by seven wickets, the West Indies regrouped in their subsequent match. In that game against Oman, West Indies won thanks to Brandon King’s magnificent century as the opening batsman.

In addition to Sri Lanka, the Netherlands qualified for the World Cup’s main round, which will be contested later this year in India. The Dutch cricket team qualified for the World Cup by defeating Scotland by four wickets.
