Screeners are what they sound like. These screeners enable you to narrow down your stock selection based on financial parameters. Screeners are valuable not only because they may be used alone, but also because they can be combined. So, what is the finest stock screener in India and how do you utilize it? Let us also look at some of the best stock screeners in India for day trading.</span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;">

For this screening, you can use a range of profitability metrics. You can, for example, screen based on operating profits or even net profits. You can use screeners such as Return on Equity and Return on Capital Employed to examine the stock in terms of return on capital. In reality, you can utilize the following combinations of profitability screeners:</span></span></p>

<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Aside from profitability screeners, another key set of screeners concerns efficiency, or asset turnover as it is more commonly called. Efficiency screeners assess how efficiently assets are passed over in relation to the volume of sales. For example, if sales are three times the size of the assets, the asset turnover ratio is three (indicating a reasonable level of asset efficiency). Screeners can also be created based on fixed asset efficiency, core capital efficiency, working capital efficiency, and so on. These screeners can be tailored to the specific needs of the investor.</span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;">
<h2 style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #e03e2d;"><em><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Solvency screeners</span></strong></em></span></h2>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The incorporation of debt into the capital structure is a two-edged sword. On the one hand, it lowers the cost of money, but it also increases your financial risk. This is due to the fact that, unlike equity, debt must be serviced in terms of interest and principal repayments. As a result, solvency screeners play an important role in determining whether or not to invest in a stock. Solvency screeners for debt equity ratios, total leverage ratios, interest coverage ratios, debt service coverage ratios, and so on can be built. Solvency cut-off factors can be predefined and combined with the results of profitability screeners to produce the optimum outcomes.</span></span></p>

Managing short-term assets like as debtors, inventories, and cash balances, as well as short-term obligations such as creditors, WC loans, and so on, provides a significant difficulty. The concept of working capital screeners is two-fold. First, it assesses if the company in question has a comfortable working capital situation. That is, the corporation should have liquid assets adequate to cover its short-term liabilities. This can be quantified using screeners such as the current ratio, quick ratio, and net working capital. The second aim of this screener is to determine whether working capital is being spent productively. Extremely low working capital ratios can be harmful, whereas extreme high working capital levels scream inefficiency.</span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff; text-align: center;">
<h2 style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #e03e2d;"><strong><em>Valuation screeners</em></strong></span></h2>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">After the fundamental screeners have been completed, this is usually the final level ratio screener. After you&#8217;ve shortlisted stocks based on your profitability, turnover, solvency, and working capital screeners, the final step is to validate your findings using the valuation screeners. There are several techniques to valuing screeners. Screeners are available depending on the P/E ratio, past price performance, P/BV for specific industries, dividend yield, and so forth. These measures assist you in shortlisting companies that provide the investor with valuation comfort. You don&#8217;t only need a stock with a price lower than its actual value. The stock must also provide a decent margin of safety.</span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: inherit; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; background-color: #ffffff;"><em><strong><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px;"> Also read :- </span><a href="https://moneypoise.com/what-we-need-to-know-about-dealing-in-trade-2-trade-stocks" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #236fa1;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">What we need to know about dealing in Trade 2 Trade stocks</span></span></span></a></strong></em></p>

<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Combining the multiple screeners adds significant value to the investor. You can accomplish this by configuring numerous conditions at the same time. Typically, these ratios are not screened as discrete variables. They are always screened as combinations. Consider the following examples:</span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;">Screen for =&gt;=&gt; NPM &gt; 20% .or. ROE &gt; 15% and P/E Ratio &lt; 15X</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;">Screen for =&gt;=&gt; Asset Turnover &gt; 2 .or. Fixed asset turnover &gt; 3 .and. Interest coverage &gt; 1.5</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;">Screen for =&gt;=&gt; Current Ratio &gt;2 .and. Interest coverage &gt; 1.25 .and. PBV &lt; 2</p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The examples above show how you can combine different ratio screeners to shortlist companies. The ratio screener can make your task lot easier if you have a completely populated business data base. This could be your initial move before focusing on stocks.</span></span></p>

Candlesticks are visual representations of a stock&#8217;s price changes over time. Each candlestick is made up of a body, a wick, and a color. The body depicts the opening and closing prices, while the wicks reflect the high and low values for the specified time period. The color indicates whether the stock price has increased or decreased. </span></span></p>

As an investor, you can use various candlestick patterns to bet on short-term stock price movements and make informed trading decisions. You can combine candlestick patterns with other technical indicators to improve the accuracy of your judgment.</span></span></p>

In most cases, the 50-day moving average is considered the short-term moving average, while the 200-day moving average is considered the long-term moving average, when discussing stocks.</span></span></p>

The average stock price over a certain time period, as calculated statistically, is called a moving average. To get the average price, you add up all the stock closing prices for x days and divide the total by x.</span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">To find a stock&#8217;s 50-day moving average, for instance, you would add up all of its closing prices over the past 50 trading days and divide the total by 50. It is a measure of how much a stock has fluctuated in price over the past 50 days. The 200-day moving average is also determined by adding together the closing prices for 200 days and then dividing the total by 200. It is a measure of how much a stock has fluctuated in price over the last 200 trading days.</span></span></p>
<h2 style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 20px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.1; font-size: 30px; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: inherit; line-height: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none;">The Three Stages of a Golden Cross</span></h2>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">There are three separate steps in the process of making a Golden Cross. Sellers lose control of stock and buyers strive to enter the picture during the first phase&#8217;s downturn on its last legs.</span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The second stage is when a new upward trend begins to take shape. When investors start buying stocks, this happens. The formation of a Golden Cross on a technical chart indicates the breakout of an uptrend when the stock&#8217;s short-term moving average crosses above the long-term moving average.</span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The third phase is characterized by a strong bullish phase confirmation as the newfound upswing persists. When purchasers have cornered the market on a stock, this occurs. Here, during corrective downward retracements, the two moving averages that make up a Golden Cross act as support levels. When stock prices remain above their moving averages, it indicates that we have entered this phase.</span></span></p>
<h2 style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 20px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.1; font-size: 30px; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: inherit; line-height: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none;">Using the Golden Cross for trading</span></h2>

They have similar traits and qualities to fixed-income assets (bonds) or equities, which are generally referred to as stocks. The asset class that is ideal for you is determined by various criteria, including your age, risk profile and tolerance, investment goals, and available capital. But what are the best asset classes for long-term investors?</span></span></p>

Between 1928 and 2021, the S&amp;P 500 returned an average of 11.82% every year. This compares well to the three-month Treasury bill (T-bill) return of 3.33% and the 10-year Treasury note return of 5.11%.</span></span></p>

<ul>
<li id="mntl-sc-block_1-0-25" class="comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html" style="box-sizing: border-box; counter-reset: section 0; color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, 'Source Sans Pro-fallback', sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, Source Sans Pro-fallback, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px;">Investors are afraid of being wrong. People frequently fail to trust their own judgment and instead follow the hype, especially when markets are down. People sometimes get into the trap of fearing that they would regret holding onto equities and lose a lot more money as they decline in value, so they sell them to alleviate that anxiety.</span></span></li>

However, it is crucial to realize that these upheavals are frequently transient, and things will most likely improve.</span></span></li>

Keeping your stocks in your portfolio for a longer period of time is more cost-effective than buying and selling frequently since the longer you retain your investments, the fewer fees you must pay. The amount you pay is determined by the type of account you have and the investment firm in charge of your portfolio. You may be charged a commission or a markup, for example, where the former is subtracted when you purchase and sell through a broker and markups are levied when the sale is directed through their own inventory. When you trade equities, these fees are added to your account. This means that with each sell, your portfolio balance will decrease.</span></span></p>

<p id="mntl-sc-block_1-0-61" class="comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.75rem; counter-reset: section 0; color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, 'Source Sans Pro-fallback', sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, Source Sans Pro-fallback, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px;">When it comes to purchasing stocks, there are various factors to consider. Consider your age, risk tolerance, and investment objectives, among other things. Having a firm grasp on all of this might assist you in determining the type of stock portfolio you need to fulfill your objectives. Here&#8217;s a general beginning point that you can modify to your specific situation:</span></span></p>
<ul>
<li id="mntl-sc-block_1-0-61" class="comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html" style="box-sizing: border-box; counter-reset: section 0; color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, 'Source Sans Pro-fallback', sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, Source Sans Pro-fallback, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px;">Choose index funds. These are ETFs that track certain indexes, such as the S&amp;P 500 or the Russell 1000, and trade similarly to stocks. But, unlike stocks, these funds are less expensive, and you won&#8217;t have to pick and choose which firms to invest in. Index funds provide similar returns to the indices they track.</span></span></li>
<li id="mntl-sc-block_1-0-61" class="comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html" style="box-sizing: border-box; counter-reset: section 0; color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, 'Source Sans Pro-fallback', sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, Source Sans Pro-fallback, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px;">Consider dividend-paying stocks. These companies can help add value to your portfolio, especially if dividends are reinvested.</span></span></li>
<li id="mntl-sc-block_1-0-61" class="comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html" style="box-sizing: border-box; counter-reset: section 0; color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, 'Source Sans Pro-fallback', sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #111111; font-family: SourceSansPro, Source Sans Pro-fallback, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.05px;">High-growth companies can help your portfolio. Growth stocks are associated with companies that can generate much higher revenue at a faster rate than others. They are also better prepared to deliver impressive profit reports. Keep in mind, however, that this amount of development comes with a larger level of risk, so you&#8217;ll need to be a little more savvy than inexperienced investors if you want to go this path.</span></span></li>

Investors with more experience and a larger cash pool may be able to ride the market waves and profit from short-term trading tactics. Long-term stock holdings can help you ride market highs and lows, benefit from lower tax rates, and are less expensive.</span></span></p>

Moving averages, the relative strength index (RSI), and the moving average convergence divergence (MACD) are several indicators that help traders discover momentum.</span></span></p>

Meanwhile, listed corporations can take advantage of something called direct listing. As a newcomer to the world of stocks, you understandably find these two terms confusing. This article will examine the similarities and differences between these two ideas. OK, let&#8217;s get started. </span></span></p>
<h2 style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 20px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.1; font-size: 30px; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><em><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: inherit; line-height: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #e03e2d;">Difference between an IPO and direct listing </span></em></h2>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Direct listing is sometimes misunderstood by the public to indicate that a firm can issue shares to the public without going through an initial public offering (IPO). That, however, is not the case. In India, a company&#8217;s stock must go through the full IPO procedure before it can be listed on a stock exchange. Accordingly, let&#8217;s compare an initial public offering with a direct listing. </span></span></p>
<h3 style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 20px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.1; font-size: 24px; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: bold; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: inherit; line-height: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #843fa1;">Objective</span></h3>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The ultimate goal of each of these ideas is what differentiates them from one another. An Initial Public Offering (IPO) is the process a company goes through when it wants to offer shares to the public for the first time and then get those shares listed on a stock market to raise capital. </span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">To list shares on another stock exchange, however, a company must first go through direct listing if it is already listed on a regional or national stock exchange. Consider Company A, whose stock is traded exclusively on India&#8217;s National Stock Exchange (NSE). Company officials have recently expressed interest in listing BSE shares. It would have to go the direct listing route in this scenario. </span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/SSGCw5Zi2-g?si=oiqV49KjAQ30APwH" width="560" height="314" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></span></span></p>

<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">The initial public offering (IPO) procedure is protracted, burdensome, and can take months to complete. In addition to seeking approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), organizations desiring to proceed with this procedure would be required to designate merchant bankers and lead managers and submit a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP). After the DRHP has been approved, the organization would be required to submit a final Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) that details the opening and closing dates of the initial public offering (IPO) and market the issue. The shares will not be listed on the stock exchange until the initial public offering (IPO) concludes and a sufficient number of public subscribers have purchased them. </span></span></p>
<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-position: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; outline: none; color: #504b4b; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="color: #504b4b; font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Direct listing, on the other hand, obviates the need for a company to endure this arduous procedure once more in order to have its shares listed on an exchange, since the company itself has been listed on one prior to undergoing this comprehensive procedure. Additionally, the documentation and process associated with obtaining direct listing on an alternative stock exchange are negligible and should not consume an excessive amount of time.</span></span></p>

Anchor investors and promoters are prohibited from quickly divesting their holdings following the initial listing of a company&#8217;s shares on a stock exchange via an IPO. A mandatory temporary suspension is in effect, typically spanning from ninety to eighty days. Permission for company personnel to divest their holdings is contingent upon the lock-in period having expired.</span></span></p>
