Mumbai got a lot of rain on Thursday, the first time in almost a month that the rainy season had stopped. A story in Mint said that the subways in Andheri and Malad were still closed to traffic. On Friday, clouds and lightning are likely to hit the city. At the same time, though, the rain should get lighter after 36 hours. Before, on September 7 and 8, the India Meteorological Department sent out a yellow alert for Mumbai, Palghar, and Thane.

It has been raining in Mumbai again, almost a month after a break. It rained 21.2 mm at the IMD Colaba observatory and 36.7 mm at the Santacruz observatory around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On social media, people shared videos of the heavy rain in Mumbai. “Damn!” someone wrote after sharing a video of rain in the city. It’s raining again in Mumbai.”
