The ‘Amrit Bharat Station’ initiative is responsible for the renovation of 1,275 stations around the country. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister of Railways, announced on Wednesday that there will be a revision of the production of Vande Bharat trains.
He went on to say that the production of Vande Bharat trains would now also take place in Sonipat, in the state of Haryana, and in Latur, in the state of Maharashtra.

PM Modi, speaking during the launch of the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express, noted that the seven Vande Bharat trains now in operation have travelled a combined 23 lakh kilometres, or the equivalent of 58 circumnavigations of the Earth. To date, more over 40 million people have ridden the Vande Bharat trains.

The Vande Bharat Express has seating for 1,128 people among its 14 AC Chair Car Coaches and 2 Executive AC Chair Car Coaches. It’ll be the quickest way to travel between the two stations, and passengers may reserve seats in advance. Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off  the South’s First Vande Bharat Express, the train will run between Two citites for Chennai and Karnataka.

The Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express will run via Bengaluru, Already, there are many trains between Bengaluru and Chennai: Shatabdi Express, Brindavan Express, Mass Double-Decker, Guwahati Express, Lalbagh Express, Chennai Express, Kaveri Express, and Chennai Mail, but ‘Vande Bharat’ is unique given its speed and facilities, as per the railway officials.

The train will run on all days except Wednesdays. “It is going to be the first-ever semi-high-speed train in the south and play a significant role in connecting the two states. Currently, Shatabdi is the fastest train between the two places. The semi-high-speed train will reduce the travel time and enhance comfort for passengers,” said an official.

“It will enhance connectivity between the industrial hub of Chennai and the Tech and Startup hub of Bengaluru and the famous tourist city of Mysuru,” the PMO said.

PM Modi also flagged Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan Train at the KSR railway station.
