AAP Will Hold Nukkad Sabhas Across Delhi In Opposition To The Arrest Of Manish Sisodia

The AAP will hold 2,500 nukkad sabhas all over Delhi to reach out to people and tell them about the BJP’s “authoritarianism.”

New Delhi: After the CBI arrested its senior leader and former minister Manish Sisodia in the excise policy case, the AAP will hold 2,500 nukkad sabhas all over Delhi to reach out to people and tell them about the BJP’s “authoritarianism.”
On Thursday, Delhi state convenor Gopal Rai led an organisational meeting, where the state unit decided to hold mohalla sabhas and nukkad sabhas to reach out to residents and tell them “about the misuse of central agencies by the Modi government,” according to a statement from the AAP.

Mr. Rai said that on March 3, volunteers will meet in each of Delhi’s 70 assembly constituencies to “expose” the BJP.

The party will then hold mohalla sabhas at the state level on March 4, and on March 6 and 7, meetings will be held in every polling place in Delhi. In the end, on March 10, nukkad sabhas will be held in every part of Delhi to reach out to the people who live there.

The statement said, “The AAP will hold mohalla sabhas in more than 2,500 Delhi neighbourhoods, where people will learn about the BJP’s authoritarianism.”

Mr. Rai, who is also the environment minister for the city government, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “took an authoritarian approach and arrested the country’s best education minister, Manish Sisodia, and used the central agencies to keep Satyendar Jain in jail.”

“On Wednesday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called a meeting with all the MLAs and councillors and asked them to reach out to the people and tell them the truth about the case. At the meeting, it was decided that the BJP’s plans and schemes would be met with a strong response.

“We will hold nukkad sabhas in every part of Delhi to tell the people about the plan the prime minister made to stop the Aam Aadmi Party. Because of these things, our leaders have been arrested, and we will tell the people about it,” he said.

The senior leader said that the programme is being run at the state level for now, but that it will soon be run at the national level as well.

On Wednesday, Arvind Kejriwal said that the party’s top leaders will go out into the streets to tell people what’s going on.

“There was a time when (former Prime Minister) Indira Gandhi went too far, and now (current Prime Minister) Narendra Modi is going too far. When the worst happens, nature does what it does best. The power of the Almighty is used. This is wrong (what is happening). He had said, “People are watching and they are angry.”
