According to recent reports, the well-known actor Nitish Bhaluni would be playing the character of Tapu in the upcoming season of the sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah. The actor Raj Anandkat, who portrayed the role previously and announced his departure from the show in December 2022, will no longer be appearing in it.

Before Raj, the actor Shailesh Lodha, who played the titular character in Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah, had already announced his departure from the programme. After some time had passed, the actor Sachin Shroff stepped into the role and began appearing on the show. There have been recent rumours that the producers of the show have not paid Shailesh for his contributions to the show. Suhel Ramani, the project head of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, said in a statement that “despite repeated communication to sign all dues document and collect his pending payment, Shailesh Lodha has refused to do it.”

The producers of the show, on the other hand, refuted the allegations and issued a statement denying them.
