A report says that Gautam Adani, the head of the Adani Group, has been planning to release 5G services for businesses and apps for consumers this year.
The company’s plan for B2C apps for consumers came as a surprise.
During the 5G auctions in 2022, Adani Group made it clear that it had no plans to compete with companies like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel in the consumer mobility market. He had said, “We don’t want to be in the consumer mobility space.”
As the Indian businessman tries to grow his business outside of India, he will focus on building AI-ML (artificial intelligence and machine learning) and industrial cloud capabilities and expanding data centres.
“While we are fully committed to building India, now is a good time to help build other countries,” Adani told his employees in his New Year’s address, as reported by TOI.

The chairman of the Adani Group said that while oil was the main driver of global growth in the 20th century, green electrons will be the key to inclusive, long-term growth in the 21st century. And in the future, the geopolitical advantage will go to the countries that can make the most green electricity for the least amount of money.
