Adidas unveil team India’s new jerseys for ODI,Test and T20

Adidas, unveiled the first look of India’s new jersey after inking a 5-year deal as kit sponsor of the BCCI.

Adidas unveiled the first glimpse at Team India’s new jerseys, which retain the iconic 3-stripes for kits in all formats of the game. The sportswear giant shared a glimpse of the jerseys on social media, much to the delight of fans who had anxiously anticipated the design of the new kits.

In May, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) announced a multi-year partnership with Adidas as the kit sponsor for India’s men’s and women’s cricket teams of multiple ages. Fans who were anticipating redesigned Indian cricket uniforms applauded the partnership.

On Thursday, June 1, Adidas India posted a photo of the India cricket team’s uniform to Instagram. The first glimpse of the Test, ODI, and T20I uniforms was unveiled, and fans were impressed.

The Bharat Army, a popular fan group for Team India, expressed eagerness to don the new kits.The India men’s cricket team will wear the new uniform for the first time when they face Australia in the final of the World Test Championship on June 7 at the Oval in London.

Notably, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and the support staff were spotted wearing the new Adidas training jerseys, which elicited positive responses from senior national team supporters. Players from India have been training at Arundel Castle Cricket Club in Sussex in preparation for the summit match.

During the IPL 2023 season, board secretary Jay Shah made official a five-year agreement between the BCCI and the sportswear behemoth for kit sponsorship.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and adidas have announced a new partnership as the BCCI’s kit sponsor. The contract, which extends until March 2028, grants Adidas exclusive rights to manufacture uniforms for all game formats. adidas will be the exclusive provider of all match, training, and travel apparel for the BCCI’s men’s, women’s, and minor teams. Team India will unveil their new uniform during the World Test Championship Finals in June 2023, according to a BCCI announcement.
