Aero India 2023 to begin today | 5 points to know

Aero India 2023: 251 agreements with expected investments of Rs 75,000 crore are likely to be signed between various Indian and foreign defence companies.

Today, Bengaluru will host the opening of Aisa’s largest aerospace display Aero India 2023, which aims to showcase the nation’s military prowess. On the outskirts of the city, at the Yalahanka Air Force station complex, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the five-day show.

Here are the 5 points you should know

1.The 14th Aero India, themed “The runway to a billion opportunities,” will highlight the development of a powerful and independent “New India” by showcasing its expanding aerospace and defence capabilities.

2.The participation of 98 countries, the defence ministers of 32 countries, the air chiefs of 29 countries, and 73 chief executive officers of international and Indian original equipment manufacturers is expected to make this the largest gathering to date.

3.Up to 809 defence businesses, including startups and MSMEs, will present the development of specialised technologies and the expansion of the aerospace and defence industries.

4.For the first time, the Hindustan Lead-in Fighter Trainer scale model will be on exhibit at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HLFT-42). The scale models of the Indian Multi Role Helicopter, the HLFT-42, the LCA Mk 2, the Hindustan Turbo-shaft Engine-1200, the RUAV, the LCA Trainer, and the Hindustan-228 will be the main draws at the HAL’s indoor pavilion.

5.Airbus, Boeing, Dassault Aviation, Lockheed Martin, Israel Aerospace Industry, BrahMos Aerospace, Army Aviation, HC Robotics, SAAB, Safran, Rolls Royce, Larsen & Toubro, Bharat Forge Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), and BEML Limited are among the major exhibitors, according to a statement.
