Agniveer recruitment 2023: The Indian Army has announced a significant modification to the Agniveer recruitment process, stating that all applicants will be screened through a computerised Common Entrance Exam (CEE) and then summoned for physical and medical tests.

Senior Army officials in Pune reported that online registration on the Join Indian Army (JIA) website began on February 16 and would continue until March 15. The registration procedure remains unchanged, and candidates can register using either their Aadhaar card or their Class 10 certificate.
The JIA website has been integrated with Digilocker, an Indian digitisation online service provided by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) as part of its Digital India initiative, in order to increase transparency.

According to officials, online CEE is administered at 176 locations across India. The candidates may select five exam locations, and one of their choices will be assigned. The fee for the online CEE is Rs 500 per candidate, with the Army covering Rs 250. A video on the Join Indian Army website and YouTube details the entire ‘How to Apply’ process in its entirety.

According to the officials, the online computerised CEE that will take place before the physical fitness test, the physical measurement test, and the medical tests will ensure that a significantly lower number of candidates will be required to show up for the recruitment rallies in comparison to what was required in the past. According to the officials, this modification also represents a change in the policy regarding recruitment.

In December of the previous year, the Army made the announcement that the age requirement of 23 years was a one-time relaxation granted for the first Agniveer process. The lower age limit for this year’s recruitment has been set to 17 years and six months, while the upper age restriction has been brought back up to 21 years.
