Air India, Nepal Airlines flights Almost Collided: Air India and Nepal Airlines flights perilously close to colliding in midair, but the warning systems alerted the pilots, whose prompt response prevented a major catastrophe.
Friday nearly saw a collision between a Nepal Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and an Air India flight from New Delhi, according to PTI.

At the same location, the Air India aircraft was descending from 19,000 feet while the Nepal Airlines aircraft was flying at 15,000 feet.After the radar indicated that the two aircraft were close together, the Nepal Airlines aircraft descended to 7,000 feet, according to a CAAN spokesperson who spoke to PTI.

The civil aviation authority has suspended two air traffic control department employees for “carelessness” and established a three-person committee to investigate the incident.
