Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, the elder daughter of Rajinikanth, has filed a complaint with Teynampet Police alleging that 60 sovereigns of gold and diamond jewellery from her vault at her Chennai residence have been stolen. She used the valuables for her sister Soundarya’s nuptials in 2019; the items are worth Rs 3.60 lakh.
According to the FIR copy, Aishwaryaa deposited the jewellery in a locker, and a few of her housemaids knew about it. The Teynampet Police Department has registered a case under Section 381 of the IPC and begun an investigation.

Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth is presently filming her upcoming feature film, Lal Salaam. The actress has been travelling to various destinations in Tamil Nadu for filming.
Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth had lodged a theft of jewellery complaint with the Teynampet police station in February. She stated in her complaint that the last time she saw the jewellery was in 2019 when she donned them to her sister Soundarya’s wedding. She had stored them in a locker in her possession after the wedding.
In 2021, the container was relocated to three locations. On August 21, 2021, the locker and other household items were transported to her ex-husband Dhanush’s apartment in CIT Nagar. It was subsequently moved to her apartment on St Mary’s Road in Chennai in September 2021. The locker was relocated to her Poes Garden residence in April 2022, while the locker’s keys remained in her St Mary’s Road apartment.
When Aishwaryaa opened the locker on February 10, 2023, she was horrified to discover that some of the jewellery she had amassed in the 18 years since her marriage had been stolen. Theft of Rs 3.60 lakh worth of diamond sets, antique gold pieces, Navaratnam sets, bangles, and nearly 60 gold sovereigns.
Aishwaryaa wrote in her complaint that she is suspicious of her maids Eashwari, Lakshmi, and Venkat, who frequently visited her St. Mary’s Road apartment while she was abroad. She requested that the police take the necessary legal action.
