10 injured in Jerusalem terror attack
Israel’s foreign ministry said in a statement that at least 8 people were killed in a deadly Jerusalem terror attack in synagogue on Friday. According to the official statement, 10 people were hurt in the shooting that happened near a synagogue on Neve Yaakov Street at 8:15 pm local time. When the attack happened, the paramedics were there right away. “8 killed, 10 injured in synagogue in #Jerusalem terror attack “Paramedics are on the scene and have started treating the injured,” Israel’s foreign ministry wrote on Twitter.
Police say that the alleged shooter was later killed by law enforcement.
The fight happened after Israeli forces killed nine Palestinians, including an elderly woman, in the refugee camp of Jenin on Thursday.
With the raid in the city in the West Bank, Israeli forces have now killed 29 Palestinians this year.
The Times of Israel reported on Friday that Israel also started a series of bombing raids in the centre of the Gaza Strip in response to rocket attacks by Gazan terrorists. Israel said that the raids will make it harder for Hamas to build up its weapons.
The Israel Defense Force (IDF) said that they hit Bottom of Form, an underground facility in the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza where rockets are made.
The IDF said in a statement to The Times of Israel that the attack would hurt Hamas’s efforts to get more weapons in a big way.
The airstrikes in Gaza were caught on video and shared on social media. The videos showed several big explosions.

The PA Health Ministry said that on Thursday afternoon, an Israeli soldier shot and killed a Palestinian man in the town of a-Ram, north of Jerusalem.
Police and ambulance services say that two people were shot and hurt in the City of David neighbourhood of Jerusalem on Saturday. The Shaare Zedek Medical Center said that the victims, one in his 20s and the other in his 40s or 50s, were taken to the trauma unit.
“The shooting suspect was neutralised,” the police said in a statement. “A large police force was called to the scene.” A preliminary report from Jerusalem police says that the incident is being treated as a possible terror attack.
Police say that the shooter on Friday was later killed by them. Police chief Yaakov Shabtai called it “one of the worst terror attacks in the past few years.”
“Seven civilians were found dead as a result of the shooting attack, and three others were hurt in different ways,” police said.
Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency rescue service said that four men and one woman who were shot were pronounced dead at the scene. Five people were taken to hospitals, where a man and a woman were later found to have died.
