South Africa(SA) will face Australia (AUS) in the second T20I of the Australia Tour of South Africa at the Kingsmead in Durban. Both teams fielded a large number of inexperienced players in the opening match, which Australia dominated and won convincingly. South Africa would be expected to make a series-leveling comeback in the upcoming match.
South Africa won the toss and elected to field in the previous match between the two nations, which was played at the same venue. This decision never proved to be correct from the beginning. Australia’s early loss of Travis Head did not prevent them from committing further atrocities.
Mitchell Marsh and Matthew Short played some outstanding strokes that enabled Australia to reach a respectable total, which was accomplished by the match-defining partnership between Mitchell Marsh and Tim David. They pushed Australia to a magnificent 226-run total by the conclusion of their innings.
Unfortunately, South Africa was unable to get off to a strong start, which they needed to chase down such a massive total. They lost Temba Bavuma early on, but Rassie and Hendricks attempted to form a solid partnership. However, once the partnership fell apart, it opened the floodgates for them as they continued to lose wickets one by one.
Only three players were able to score in double digits, and the team was eventually wiped out for a total of 115 runs, resulting in Australia’s resounding victory by a margin of 111 runs.
AUS VS SA 2ND T20I: PROBABLE PLAYING XI
Kingsmead in Durban provides a pitch that is advantageous for both batsmen and bowlers. Particularly Pacers may appreciate seam and swing, which can be problematic for batters. After spending a few balls on the ground, they are free to execute their strokes. Teams that win the toss and elect to bowl average 147 runs in the first inning.
Mitchell Marsh: Marsh was phenomenal in the previous match, scoring 92 runs while remaining unblemished and guiding his team to a massive victory. Likewise, he should be heading your side.
Tim David: Tim played a colossal innings in the previous match, scoring 64 runs off 28 deliveries with seven fours and four huge sixes. He is another viable candidate for the captaincy.
Marcus Stoinis: Although Stoinis was ineffective with the bat in the previous match, he was outstanding with the ball. He bowled only three overs and took three wickets.
Tanveer Sangha: Sangha made a historic début by taking four wickets in his first game while conceding only 31 runs. He must secure a position on your squad.
Reeza Hendricks: Hendricks was the only South African batter who appeared secure in the previous game. He tallied 56 runs off of 43 balls at a 130.23 percent strike rate.
Marco Jansen: Jansen is an affordable option for your fantasy team. He not only took a wicket, but also scored 20 runs in the previous match.
