Wednesday, Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust General Secretary Champat Rai announced that the Lord Ram idol will be inaugurated at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 of the following year.
“Leave members of the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust and I met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.” We extend an invitation to him (Prime Minister Modi) to attend the garbhagriha on January 22 in order to adorn the idol of Lord Ram. We have received his acceptance of our request. January 22 will witness his presence. Champat Rai affirmed that “Pran Pratishtha” will occur on January 22.
Following his meeting with Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust representatives, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his elation.
Prime Minister Modi stated that he feels fortunate and that it is his good fortune to be present for this momentous occasion.

On account of the consecration of the Shri Ram temple, he has extended an invitation for me to visit Ayodhya. Extremely fortunate I feel. “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to witness this momentous occasion during my lifetime,” Prime Minister Modi wrote on X.
It is noteworthy to mention that the resolution of the Ayodhya dispute by the Supreme Court in 2019 cleared the path for the erection of an imposing Ram temple. The Centre appointed the Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra’ Trust to oversee all decisions pertaining to the construction of a majestic Ram Temple in Ayodhya, in accordance with the ruling of the apex court.

Under the Trust’s careful oversight, the temple’s construction has advanced at a consistent rate. Within the temple’s sanctum sanctorum will be the idol of Ram Lalla.
