The popular American boy band Backstreet Boys, who are known for songs such as “Quit Playing Games,” “As Long as You Love Me,” and “Shape of My Heart,” announced on Wednesday that they plan to return to India after an absence of thirteen years with their DNA World Tour in May. The tour is named after the band’s current album of the same name.
The ‘The Backstreet Boys: DNA World Tour’ will be a tour that visits two cities. On May 4 and 5, the concerts will take place in Mumbai at the Jio World Gardens and in New Delhi at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, respectively.
The Backstreet Boys were originally composed of AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, and Kevin Richardson, along with Nick Carter and Brian Littrell. The group’s most recent visit of India took place in 2010.
This time around, the internationally acclaimed ensemble will be performing in the country thanks to BookMyShow, India’s most popular entertainment destination, and Live Nation.
BookMyShow has announced in a press statement that registrations for the highly anticipated performance are now open specifically on their platform.
The next leg of the DNA World Tour, which started in 2019, will begin on May 1 in Egypt and continue on to other countries and regions including India, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and South Africa.
The tour will be a celebration of the band’s history of flawless choreography and harmony-laden vocal prowess. The band will belt out hits such as “I Want It That Way,” “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” and “As Long As You Love Me,” in addition to the latest hits from their recent album “DNA,” including “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” “Chances,” and “No Place,” amongst other songs.
The band had released the first installment of their new documentary series “Making Of The DNA Tour” the previous year, providing fans with an exclusive glimpse at the preparations that went into their tour.
