BAFTA Awards 2023: On Sunday, the 76th British Academy Film Awards, were held at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England. The star-studded presentation, hosted by actor Richard E. Grant, saw the German anti-war picture All Quiet on the Western Front win seven honours, including Best Film and Best Director. Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes was nominated in the Best Documentary category, which was won by Daniel Roher’s Navalny.
The nomination of Shaunak Sen’s critically praised documentary All that Breathes for Best Documentary at this year’s Academy Awards made India shine. The somewhat disheartening news is that Navalny wins the BAFTA Award for Best Film in 2023.
