How to reach Bharatpur Beach:

From Port Blair:

Bharatpur Beach is located on Neil Island, which is approximately 40 kilometers from Port Blair. Between Neil Island and Port Blair, both government-operated and privately-operated ferries operate. Neil Island is approximately two hours by ferry from Port Blair. After arriving at the Neil Island jetty, you can rent an auto or a bicycle to get to Bharatpur Island.

It is recommended that you book your Andaman tour in advance in order to avoid any complications. If you are considering a private ferry, book your tickets online at least two days in advance; for a government ferry, purchase your tickets at the counter.

From Havelock Island:

Neil Island is one hour away from Havelock Island. Private and public ferries operate daily between the two islands. After reaching Neil Island, one can rent an auto-rickshaw, a bicycle, or even walk to Bharatpur Beach, as it is a short distance away. It is recommended to purchase jetty tickets in advance.

Best time to visit Bharatpur Beach:

The climate at Bharatpur Beach is tropical year-round. The highest summertime temperature is 34 degrees Celsius. The days are hot and muggy, but the evenings are pleasant due to the cool breeze that brings the temperature down. Throughout the monsoon season, Bharatpur Island receives moderate precipitation. This season is not conducive to water sports due to the rain. The monsoon adds beauty to the surroundings, which are covered in lush vegetation. The temperature ranges from 14 to 34 degrees Celsius during the winter season. It is the ideal time of year to participate in water sports and explore the beach.

Although tourists visit Bharatpur Beach throughout the year, the best time to visit is between October and February, when the weather is calm and pleasant. Due to the season’s favorable temperatures, one can engage in all tourist activities without difficulty.

Neil Island only has a primary health centre. All the basic facilities are available here but in case there is some emergency one has to reach Port Blair for proper medical checkup.

6. Timing to visit Bharatpur Beach:

Bharatpur Beach is open 24 hours a day, but the best time to visit is between 5:00 AM and 6:00 PM. In the early morning, it is recommended to observe the sunrise in solitude, and in the evening, to observe the sun set. During the day, one can partake in extreme sports and bask in the sun.

7. Mobile Connectivity in Bharatpur Beach:

Only BSNL works in Bharatpur Island. You can also get some signal on Airtel but it is highly unlikely that you will be able to connect or receive any call on Airtel. Other operators do not work here.
