Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was the subject of reports on Wednesday that were disputed by the Delhi Police. The claims claimed that there has been insufficient proof against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. It has been reported by a number of news outlets that the Delhi Police haven’t been able to find sufficient evidence in the complaints that have been filed against the former president of WFI, and that a final report on the situation is scheduled to be presented to the court that is responsible for the investigation. It is important to stress that this story is “wrong,” and that the investigation into this sensitive issue is still ongoing and being handled with the utmost respect, as stated by the Delhi Police.
What Brij Bhushan Singh said after wrestlers threatened to throw medals in Ganga
The clarification from the Delhi Police came after ANI reported, citing sources from the Delhi Police, that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh cannot be arrested as demanded by the protesting wrestlers because there is not enough evidence against him in the sexual harassment case, ANI reported, citing sources from the Delhi Police. “We have not yet discovered sufficient evidence to arrest Brij Bhushan Singh.” Within 15 days, we will submit our report to the court. It may be presented as a chargesheet or final report. There is no evidence to corroborate the wrestlers’ claim, according to authoritative sources cited by ANI.

The protest of the country’s best wrestlers escalated on Sunday after they were arrested by Delhi Police while protesting in front of the new Parliament building. As their demand for Brij Bhushan’s arrest was not met, the wrestlers proclaimed on Tuesday that they would immerse their medals in the Ganga in Haridwar. The wrestlers were halted by farmer leader Naresh Tikait, who gave them a five-day ultimatum.
‘If a single allegation against me…’
Brij Bhushan stated on Wednesday that he will turn himself in if even a single allegation against him is proven. “If you (wrestlers) have any evidence, present it to the court, and I am willing to accept any punishment… it’s been four months, but the government is not going to hang me…they are now going to the Ganges to immerse their medals.” Immersing the medals will not lead to my execution. This is simply an emotional spectacle, said Brij Bhushan.
