In November, a new Call of Duty game will be released, containing a single-player narrative that continues the tale of Modern Warfare II. Activision says a huge amount of content from the previous Modern Warfare game will be “transferred.” This is the first time two Modern Warfare games have been released back to back.
The game, dubbed Modern Warfare III, includes a single-player narrative that continues the tale of Modern Warfare II, a multiplayer mode that relates to the previous game, and a zombies mode that provides a new open world survival challenge.

In the single-player campaign, a new sort of mission called “open combat” is introduced, in which players can select how to pursue their objectives and encounter varied scenarios. The campaign also includes both returning and new characters and villains from the Modern Warfare franchise.
Treyarch, the team behind the iconic Black Ops series, created the zombies mode, which adds a fresh twist to the basic undead mode. The zombies mode contains the largest open world environment in Call of Duty history, where players must survive and remove themselves from swarms of undead. The mode also combines classic zombie mechanics with new ones.
“Our vision of delivering back-to-back Modern Warfare games has been years in the making,” Activision noted on its blog. “Sledgehammer Games has worked closely with Infinity Ward from the start of development on both Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III to create a blockbuster sequel in the Modern Warfare series, featuring the return of iconic heroes and villains alike.” Players will be able to get to know the characters better, explore deeper into the tales, and continue to progress and loadouts without interruption.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be released on November 10 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC (through Steam and Battle.net).
