Chandrayaan-3 after touchdown: “I Arrived at My Destination”isro

Officials from ISRO were anxiously awaiting Vikram Lander’s descent. The whole mission control center rejoiced as it eventually came down.

On Wednesday, India’s moon mission Chandrayaan-3 achieved history by touching down on the moon’s surface. near exactly 6:04 p.m., when the Vikram lander touched down near the Moon’s South Pole, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) commemorated the event with a message on X (previously Twitter). ISRO thanked the nation’s citizens in the post for the mission’s success. Now that there is evidence of water on the moon, India has become the first country to set foot close to the South Pole.

“Mission Chandrarayaan-3: Chandrayaan-3 has successfully made a soft landing on the moon, saying, “India, I reached my destination and you too!” The space agency congratulated India in its message.

At 5.20 p.m., the live transmission of this momentous occasion began, and the lander went through four phases until touching down on the Moon’s surface.\

Vikram went cautiously approaching the Earth in each stage before starting his vertical drop in the last one. At the mission control room, ISRO officials celebrated each stage that went well.All the officials screamed in celebration as it eventually touched down on the lunar surface. Through a video hookup, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently in South Africa, joined and thanked the whole ISRO crew.”We are seeing the new India take off. The past has been rewritten, according to PM Modi.The lander successfully completed each stage, according to project director P Veeramuthuvel, “flawlessly.”

A follow-up mission to Chandrayaan-2, Chandrayaan-3’s goals include wandering on the Moon, demonstrating safe and gentle landings, and conducting in-situ scientific experiments.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission, which cost 600 crores and took 41 days to complete, was launched on July 14 on a Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM-3) rocket.
