On Tuesday evening, inhabitants of several Indian cities, including Delhi, fled their residences in response to a magnitude 6.5 earthquake that was felt throughout northern India and neighbouring Pakistan.
The tremors lasted at least thirty seconds, and reports placed the epicentre in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.

At approximately 10 p.m., residents of Delhi and Noida raced out of their homes onto the streets, some carrying their children draped in blankets. Residents of Ghaziabad were also observed on the streets.

During the enormous earthquake, Twitter users shared videos of ceiling fans and light fixtures swaying. States such as Kashmir and Jaipur, according to eyewitness accounts, also felt the earthquake.
