Nikki Yadav Murder Case
In a violent dispute that ensued after Sahil Gehlot murdered his live-in girlfriend and placed her body inside a refrigerator, police alleged on Wednesday. Sahil Gehlot had danced and enjoyed himself with his pals during his engagement ceremony on February 9.
Gehlot, 24, reportedly got married the next day.
Gehlot is accused of strangling Nikki Yadav to death and putting her corpse inside a refrigerator at his dhaba (restaurant) in southwest Delhi.
Only on February 14 did the crime become apparent, according to the police, when Nikki Yadav’s corpse, who was 23 at the time, was found inside the refrigerator after Gehlot had been questioned about it. According to the police, Gehlot visited Yadav at his rental home in Uttam Nagar after the engagement celebration.

Yadav reportedly persuaded Gehlot to take a quick excursion before his wedding on February 10 during his stay there, according to the reports.
During the second day of questioning, a senior officer said Gehlot admitted to being “in double mind” and unable to decide whether he wanted to continue living with his live-in girlfriend or wed the lady his parents had chosen for him.
When describing the events, the suspect informed police that he had left Yadav’s home around 15 days before to the incident, but that after getting engaged on February 9, he went to her house in Uttam Nagar and spent the night there.
“Yadav had already decided that she wanted to fly to Goa with him and had already purchased her tickets. However, she was unable to purchase Gehlot’s ticket using a travel app. They opted to visit Himachal Pradesh as a result of their itinerary adjustment.
The bus would leave from the Kashmere Gate ISBT, the police said. “They travelled to Nizamuddin train station in his automobile when they found out that they will have to catch a bus from Anand Vihar bus Terminus,” the officer added.
The accused stopped his vehicle outside Kashmere Gate and they both got into a talk about his upcoming wedding, according to the police.
Gehlot admitted to police that, while they were speaking, Yadav expressed her discontent with their engagement and the fact that he was planning to wed someone else. She persuaded him to accompany her on a vacation to Himachal Pradesh. Gehlot struggled with his decision since he was being pushed by his family to wed the partner they had chosen for him.
She became upset about his wedding plans and expressed it. Gehlot choked her out of rage and brought her corpse to his dabha in the hamlet, the officer said.
According to authorities, police believe that he was attempting to deceive his live-in girlfriend by promising that they would take a vacation in order to get rid of her.

He claimed to be conflicted. These are all his claims since we learned via local inquiries that he was dancing and having a good time during his engagement. For this reason, it’s critical to support his account with substantial evidence, such as CCTVs, technological proof, and forensic analysis. He hasn’t yet disclosed the precise moment when he murdered her, the officer added.
Four days after the murder, Yadav’s corpse was discovered on Tuesday morning in the restaurant’s refrigerator.
