Delhi police permits Shobha Yatra within a certain distance in Jahangirpuri on Hanuman Jayanti, asks to maintain law-order

Delhi police Permission has been granted to conduct the Shobha Yatra within a certain distance so as to maintain law and order.

Today we will celebrate Hanuman Jayanti. “The route has been established. Delhi police permits Shobha Yatra within a certain distance in Jahangirpuri so as to maintain law and order. On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the Delhi Police stated regarding Shoba Yatra in the Jahangirpuri area, “Discussions were held with the organizing committee, and an appeal was made to conduct the Yatra in accordance with law and order.”

On April 6, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and another organization were denied permission by the Delhi Police to hold processions in the Jahangirpuri neighborhood of the nation’s capital.

The Delhi Police told media that the VHP and another group had requested permission to hold Hanuman Jayanti processions, but in light of the law and order situation, the organisers were denied permission.

On April 16, 2012, during a “Shoba Yatra” commemorating Hanuman Jayanti, violence broke out between two local communities.

The police report that extensive security measures have been implemented in the Jahangirpuri neighborhood in preparation for Hanuman Jayanti.

In light of the recent violence that erupted between two groups in West Bengal and Bihar during the Ram Navami procession, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued a directive to all states to ensure the maintenance of law and order in advance of Hanuman Jayanti.

Through its advisory, the MHA has also encouraged the tranquil observance of the festival as well as the monitoring of factors that could disrupt the communal harmony of society.

“The MHA has issued a recommendation to every state in preparation for Hanuman Jayanti. The Union Home Ministry tweeted that all governments should ensure the maintenance of law and order, the tranquil observance of the festival, and the monitoring of any factors that could disrupt communal harmony in society.

According to sources, the advisory has been sent to the Chief Secretaries and Director Generals of Police of all states.

The MHA’s action followed recent reports of confrontations in West Bengal and Bihar during Ram Navami processions.
