In response to the accident that occurred two days ago off the coast of Bombay, the defence forces have suspended operations of the ALH Dhruv helicopters until investigators determine the cause of the incident and perform precautionary inspections.

The Indian military uses ALH Dhruv helicopters for a variety of purposes, including the transportation of personnel and supplies.HAL officials told ANI: “HAL has already taken steps and will work closely with customers to ensure that the Helicopter fleet is completely operational.”
The ALH Dhruv has become an integral component of helicopter missions conducted by all three forces in the various terrains in which they are deployed.Officials from the Department of Defense expressed optimism that the ALH Dhruv operations would shortly resume.
Two days ago, an Indian Navy ALH Dhruv on a routine flight mission off the coast of Mumbai experienced an abrupt loss of power and a rapid loss of altitude.According to the Navy, the pilot performed a controlled grounding over water, and all three aircrew members were recovered as part of a swift rescue operation.

The abandoned helicopter had deployed its emergency flotation gear, and rescue efforts are currently underway.
