Didn’t stop Ram Navami rally, BJP planned violence: Mamata Banerjee

On the occasion of Ram Navami, clashes and violence were reported in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Gujarat and Bihar on Thursday.

Violence erupted between groups during Thursday’s Ram Navami rally in several regions of the nation, disrupting the festivities and celebrations. A case has been filed against 200 unidentified individuals after violence broke out during the Ram Navami procession in Munger, Bihar. When the procession entered the Hazratganj Mohalla neighborhood, it is alleged that objectionable language was spoken.

During a violent clash on Thursday, a police squad was attacked and several of their vehicles were set on fire following a dispute over a Ram temple in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, on Wednesday. Seven individuals have been detained, and 500 individuals have been charged. A 51-year-old man died in the hospital after sustaining injuries in a mob attack on police officers following a conflict near a Ram temple in the city of Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

As a result of confrontations between two groups during Ram Navami celebrations in the Howrah district of West Bengal, several vehicles were set on fire and stores were ransacked. One person was slain and several others were injured in a clash in Bengal’s Dalkhola, sparking a war of words between the ruling BJP and the opposition TMC.

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, claimed she did not halt the Ram Navami rally and accused the BJP of planning the violence for a month. The leader of the TMC stated that it was not a religious issue, but rather violence sponsored by the BJP.
