During Fiji Visit Jaishankar discusses about improving diplomatic ties through developmental cooperation.

S Jaishankar visited Fiji’s Nadi city where he inaugurated the 12th Vishwa Hindu Sammelan. Fiji’s President, Ratu Williame Maivalili Katonivere was also present during the event.

According to reports During Fiji Visit Jaishankar met with Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad on Wednesday and discussed ways to further advance India’s and Fiji’s ties through cooperative development efforts. “It was a pleasure to catch up with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Fijian Government, @bimanprasad, in Nadi shortly after our meeting in New Delhi. According to a tweet posted by Jaishankar, the two parties “discussed further extending our long-standing ties through our development partnership.”

The Union Minister travelled to the city of Nadi in Fiji, where he presided over the opening ceremonies of the 12th Vishwa Hindu Sammelan. In addition, Ratu Williame Maivalili Katonivere, the President of Fiji, was there to witness the event.

Pn Fiji visit Jaishankar arrived in Fiji on Tuesday, and the country’s Minister of Education, Aseri Radrodro, was there to greet him when he arrived.

 

“Bula and Namaste Fiji. In Nadi, the 12th Annual Vishwa Hindi Sammelan will get underway the day after tomorrow. Please accept my thanks for the kind welcome extended by Minister of Education Aseri Radrodro. He had tweeted that he was “looking forward to meeting Hindi aficionados from all across the world.”

During the 12th Vishwa Hindu Sammelan, the Union Minister emphasised the importance of expanding the use of the Hindi language in all parts of the world.

“At gatherings such as the World Hindi Conference, it is only natural for us to concentrate on a variety of facets of the Hindi language, as well as its use in a worldwide context and its diffusion. Among the topics that will be covered is the current state of the Hindi language in Fiji, the Pacific area, and indentured countries “said Jaishankar.

He went on to say that the time has come to stop imitating western languages and customs, and he emphasised that people all around the world should be aware of each other’s societies and cultures.

In addition, Jaishankar expressed gratitude to the government of Fiji for organising the 12th Vishwa Hindi Sammelan, which took place in Nadi, and he stated that gatherings such as these help to maintain a healthy relationship between the two countries.
