Earthquake in Jaipur:Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, was impacted by a magnitude 4.4 earthquake, according to the National Centre for Seismology.
The tremor occurred at 4:09 a.m. on July 21, 2023, roughly 9 kilometres from Jaipur at a depth of 10 kilometres, according to the report.
This was followed at 4:22 am by an aftershock of magnitude 3.1, according to NCS.
Murari Lal Meena, Rajasthan’s minister of tourism and civil aviation, tweeted, “Earthquake in Jaipur. I wish for your safety!”
Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje tweeted in response to the tremors, “Earthquake tremors have been detected throughout the state, including in Jaipur. I wish for your safety!”
Jahnvi Sharma, another citizen, uploaded a video of the earthquake. She exclaimed, “What a terrifying day to witness such a powerful earthquake in Jaipur!”
Rameshwar Singh uploaded a CCTV camera video of the Jaipur earthquake. He wrote, “See dogs on the street in deep sleep suddenly waking up.”

Meanwhile, a Twitter user made light of the situation by stating, “Jaipur is celebrating Oppenheimer’s success in India too soon.”
