Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are being evicted from their residence on the Windsor estate
London: According to rumours on Wednesday, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are being evicted from their residence on the Windsor estate of the British royal family, leaving them without a foothold in the country.
The late Queen Elizabeth II gave them Frogmore Cottage as a bridal gift in 2018, and they renovated it for an estimated £2.4 million ($2.9 million).
According to accounts in The Sun and Daily Telegraph, Prince Andrew, King Charles III’s disgraced sibling, has now been promised it.
Days after the release of the prince’s frank book “Spare,” Harry and Meghan, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were allegedly ordered to leave the property in January.
Charles is presently overhauling financing because he has long advocated for a smaller monarchy.
Due to the enormous maintenance expenses of his present home, the 30-room Royal Lodge, which is also on the Windsor estate, Andrew may be compelled to leave if his £250,000 annual grant is eliminated.
In 2020, Harry and Meghan abruptly left the life of royalty and relocated to California.
Since then, they have participated in a number of endeavours, including an Oprah Winfrey interview and a Netflix series, in which they have voiced complaints about their experiences as members of the British royal family.
When Harry’s book “Spare” was released in January, it broke sales records while also causing a decline in his reputation.
Because of his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew was pushed out of the public eye.
