Former Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia, who is presently in prison for an alleged liquor policy scam, has sent a ‘message’ for Delhi students, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said today at an event.
“No need to fret about me; I’m fine wherever I am. “Pay close attention to your studies,” Kejriwal advised, citing his predecessor as deputy chief minister. As the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) read Sisodia’s message to the students of Delhi, the audience applauded.

“We do not have Manish ji with us today. A few days ago, several students approached me and expressed how much they missed him. Everyone, including teachers, was missing him, I said. The children then asserted that Manish Sisodia had been detained on false charges. I responded that the entire globe is aware of this fact,” said Kejriwal.
“He is incarcerated, yet he is concerned about your education and health. You must earn high marks. God is testing him, but he will pass with flying colours and be with you all,” Kejriwal added.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) detained Manish Sisodia last month in connection with the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. He was detained by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as his custody was about to expire, and he remains in the ED’s custody, which will expire on March 22 unless it is extended.

The AAP leader and his party have denied any misconduct and have accused the BJP-led central government of conducting a “witch hunt” and “misusing” central agencies against their political opponents.
After his detention, Sisodia resigned from his positions, and the education portfolio is currently held by his colleague Atishi.
